Overview

A rare opportunity:  A Kelly Peterson 44 in ready to go, anywhere, condition at a ready to go price! New owners recently completed repair of survey items and performed upgrades and outfitting to begin their world cruising. Unfortunately, personal issues have required an immediate sale of their newly purchased Kelly Peterson.

The current owners are only the third in the history of S/V Telly Penguin, fka Habana. Previous owner was a professional mariner with 17 years of ownership. Refits were performed in 1998-2001, 2006, 2012 and most significantly in May-June of 2015. This latest refit included the fabrication and installation of all new chain plates in addition to standing rigging being inspected and tuned. A new NextGen generator was installed. Numerous other upgrades and improvements were performed.

The Kelly Peterson was originally designed for Jack Kelly by the renown Doug Peterson. The KP44 was built with a long fin keel and a cutaway forefoot and after body to assure reduction of the wetted surface providing for good light air performance with a shorter turning radius in a medium displacement long range sailing yacht. Additionally, the low profile adds to the solid yet gentle motion providing for an outstanding sea kindly motion.

Motivated sellers have this fine yacht priced right and conveniently located in Ft. Lauderdale for an immediate sale.
