Overview

Thinking of entering the LIve Aboard life or doing the Great Loop?  This 40' Lindsey is perfect for a single or couple who want to make their dream come true of living on a boat, full time or just for extended cruising.  Clean, comfortable, light, and roomy, it looks more like a charming condo than a 1978 boat.

Down Time is a sedan type trawler built by the Lindsey Trawler Boat Works in Miami.  She is a unique, economical and comfortable cruiser. With dual helms, low maintenance and a 19” bridge clearance she is perfect to cruise the Great Loop or down south to the Bahamas, and easy to single hand.

The Perkins diesel engine is a reliable workhorse and has only 2082 hours. Cruising at 7-10 kts she burns under 2 gallons per hour at 2000 rpms. The fresh and raw water pumps are new in 2014. The injectors and injector pump along with the 3 Racors, starter and heat changers have been rebuilt or reconditioned. The alternator in new 2014

The Next-Gen 5.5 KW generator was installed new in 2014 and has only 134 hours and burns only ¼ to 1/3 gph. There is very little need to use the generator at anchor however, since the four (4) 130 watt solar panels, along with the Outback charger; inverter and controller provide most of your power needs.

The exterior has new Awlgrip on the hull and cabin in 2014/15. New Trinidad SR60 bottom paint was applied 5/15. New deck paint was applied 2/15.

The stateroom has been completely redone and includes new 9” memory foam mattresses. All lighting is LED.

This many upgrades don't come along in this price range very often.  You owe it to yourself to at least come see her -- but be prepared, you might just wind up falling in love with the cruising life!
