Overview

Please note that in early June, 2015, TOOL TIME will be departing Ludington and Lake Michigan, enroute to New York City, via Lake Huron, Lake Erie, the Erie Canal, and the Hudson River.  If you are along this route it will save you the time and expense of having the boat in your back yard !!!!!

This boat has spent it's entire life in freshwater, and has had the same owner for the past 20 years.  She is low hour with only 1250 original hours on the engines. Only 250 hours on the generator SMOH four years ago.  Her canvas work is new in 2013, all of her electronics work, and she has marine air conditioning as well.  Always stored in heated storage for the winters, so she is in exceptional shape, both inside and out. The port engine has just been rebuilt with a Brand New long block and has 10 break-in hours as of 8-20-2014.  An exceptional buy on a brand name cruising boat, that has always had the best of care. Two staterooms and one large head, with a large flybridge make this a fantastic cruiser !!!

Special Notice !!!

Of special note to any prospective buyer, TOOL TIME will be departing Ludington, Michigan in early June and headed for New York City.  The route will be North in Lake Michigan, and then continue through Lake Huron, Lake Erie, the Erie Canal, and then the Hudson River to New York City.  If you are along this route we could save you the effort and expense of getting it to your location !!!!!

Overview

TOOL TIME was introduced in 1993 as the MAINSHIP 40 SEDAN BRIDGE and  remained in production through 2000. She has a spacious interior and a large flybridge that is accessed via a stairway from the cockpit, which makes her an excellent choice as a day cruiser and/or for entertaining.  She was built on a solid fiberglass, modified-V hull, with the engines mounted beneath the cockpit sole, keeping her profile low, and making her handle well in "following seas". The cockpit has a transom door leading in from the swim platform, built-in bench seating, and twin hatches in the sole for excellent engine & generator access.  The easily accessed flybridge has an island helm console with wraparound lounge seating.  Lacking side decks, the foredeck is reached via a door in the flybridge combing for ease in docking or anchoring. The layout makes her one of the easiest boats to move around on, without doing a lot of climbing or hanging on !!!

Accommodations

Upon entering the salon from the cockpit, via sliding doors, you step down into a single-level interior, with a full beam salon & galley aft, and the two staterooms forward, along with the shared head for the both staterooms.  The master stateroom is forward and features a walkaround double berth, with drawers beneath, and two hanging closets.  The head is accessed from this stateroom, as well as from the hallway, and is exceptionally large for this sized vessel, along with featuring a large stall shower.  The guest stateroom is midships to port, opposite the head, and features upper/lower berths, with one hanging closet.

Salon / Galley

The salon seat seats eight (8) persons and has a large "J" shaped lounge-dinette on her port side aft, with a second "L" shaped lounge (converts to a double berth) to starboard and forward in the salon.  Opposite to port is the U-shaped galley. Equipment includes:
  • Princess electric stove top
  • Panasonic microwave
  • Norcold refrigerator / freezer
  • U-line ice maker
  • Black & Decker toaster & coffee maker
  • Executive radio/CD player in salon
  • The L-shaped lounge is new in 2013
  • Levelor blinds on all windows

Fly Bridge

The flybridge is easily accessed via a port side stairway from the cockpit.  The helm station is amidships and has an island console with full engine controls and instrumentation, along with a sink and cooler.  There are lounge seats to both port and starboard of the helm, with an opening door in the forward flybridge combing, allowing excellent access to the foredeck.  There is a radar arch aft on the bridge, and the bimini top and full enclosure are new in 2013. Navigation and bridge equipment includes:
  • Standard Horizon VHF
  • DCS-VHF radio (2015)
  • Furuno open array radar
  • Garmin GPS Chartplotter (2015)
  • Signet -Depth, temperature, knotmeter, log
  • Sony stereo player on the bridge
  • Engine synchronizer
  • Power searchlite
  • Compass

Electrical / Mechanical

  • Kohler 6Kw generator / 250 hrs SMOH
  • Two Marine Reverse Cycle air conditioners
  • Two 50 amp shore power cords
  • Dytek battery charger
  • Hot water heater
  • Bow pulpit w/ Powerwinch 602 rope windlass
  • Three new batteries in 2013-14
  • Spare 4 bladed props (??)

  • Three (3) handheld dry chemical extinguishers
  • Eight life jackets

  • 3.5 HP Mercury O/B

Remarks

TOOL TIME was serviced and launched into Lake Michigan in May of 2014.  The owners then traded her on a larger and newer vessel, and now TOOL TIME is available and for sale.  She was hauled the latter part of July and placed back in storage until sold, BUT she is ready to go at a moment's notice, so act quickly while she is fresh and ready for you to enjoy. She has just had the port engine replaced with a NEW long block engine, so she has 10 break-in hours on that engine as of 8-20-2014.  This is not a brokerage boat, but owned by my company !!!
