Description

The Monk 36' Trawler is a graceful aft cabin trawler designed by famed naval architect Ed Monk.  There were more than 250 of these trawlers built in their 25 years of production, which ended in 2007.  They were built in Nova Scotia since 1992.
With a tall bow, good sight lines, and wide side decks and rails, this trawler is built for cruising comfort and safety.  There is room for dinghy storage aft on the cabin top.
Amen has beautiful non-skid decks, with weather resistant steps.  She is ready to go, or ready to personalize and make your own.

Salon

The salon can be entered from one of two etched glass doors which are unique to  Amen.  There is a lighthouse scene on the starboard door, and a sea bird on the port door, which compliment the teak interior and the teak and holly sole.  An L-shaped settee on the port side is perfect for all of your indoor activities.  There is a table which folds out for more entertaining space, and can drop down to be used as an additional berth.
The lower helm station is located to starboard, with a swivel helmsman seat.
There are large windows all around which make the salon space feel light and open, while providing good visibility.
The salon floor panels lift off for access to the engine room.

Master Stateroom & Head

Amen has an aft Captain's Cabin, a few steps down from the salon, with a centerline full size berth.  The beautiful teak interior has numerous storage options with drawers, cabinets and hanging lockers.  The slatted cabinet doors and rounded top doors evoke an historic era of cruising.  The cabinets are deep, and allow for a surprising amount of storage.  Large windows on both the port and starboard sides, as well as aft give the Master Stateroom a light and open feel.
The en-suite head is roomy, with an electric head, a sink with counter space and storage, and a stand up shower.

Forward Berth & Day Head

The forward v-berth of Amen is comfortable and spacious enough for two adults, and has a hanging locker and additional storage.
The forward day head is convenient for guests.

Galley

The L-shaped galley is aft in the salon, to starboard.  It has a large window to starboard above the deep, double stainless steel sink, as well as one to aft.  There is a propane oven and 3 burner stove, as well as an installed GE microwave oven.  A Nova Cool refrigerator and freezer was installed in 2012.  There are numerous cabinets and drawers to accommodate the galley storage needs.

Deck, Hull & Bridge

The deck of Amen is fresh grey non-skid.  The step-ups are made of all-weather material, which will require no maintenance.
There is a fold-down swim step-ladder to the molded swim platform, with two steps up to the aft deck.
The bottom was freshly painted in 2015.
There is a Simpson Lawrence windlass, a 35 lb stainless steel anchor with 125' of chain and 75' of rode, and an anchor raw water wash-down.
The bridge of Amen has a canvas bimini and helm cover, as well as a single built-in seat on the starboard side and a double built-in seat on the port side, both with removable all-weather cushions.

Electrical Equipment

The electrical components of Amen include: 50 Amp shore power, (2) 50' 30 Amp cables (2) 8D Batteries - New in 2018 Toshiba TV with small inverter Hydraulic steering SMXII Air Conditioner and Heater
