INTRODUCTION

The Nordhavn 62 is arguably the most recognized and one of the most accomplished Modern Expedition Vessels available today.  With a range of over 3000 nautical miles, "Atlas" is easily handled by a couple and a proven Long Distance Passage-Maker.  The 62 and other Nordhavn fleet are vessels that regularly cross oceans of the world -- designed for extended cruising in remote and isolated destinations; this combined with a full displacement hull via Cummins diesel at 9 - 10 knots -- "Atlas," like all Nordhavns, is very economical.

Safety in addition to efficiency is also paramount as ATLAS is equipped with many redundant systems.  The heavy-duty construction of the hull and sea-kindly ride make expeditions and weekend excursions alike an absolute pleasure.  Coupled with her stout build and seakeeping abilities is a luxurious interior, layout and amenities offering a central master stateroom and stately accommodations for up ten guests plus a Pilot berth behind the helm for those longer passages.

Not many Nordhavn 62's have teak decks or the upper aft deck arrangement (with settee convertible to lounge) both of these additions are worth about $200,000 US as extras. The lounge area and wheel house cushion covers are in Scottish calf skin leather as is the wheel house chair.

A massive foredeck with 2 tenders, a large covered outdoor entertaining area aft that doubles as lounge/outdoor berth and alfresco dining settee, the safe tender boarding / swimming platform offered by the "Bustle," gourmet galley-lounge-dining area enhanced by the optional and very quiet wet exhaust system make ATLAS one of the best optioned Nordhavn 62s currently available worldwide.

Take that trip to the South Pacific and canal crossing back to your home port that you've always wanted to -- ATLAS' delivery to your port of embarkation is already complete; consider a journey to the Gold Coast and Brisbane for an unforgettable experience prior to your expedition to nearby iconic cruising grounds such as the Great Barrier Reef, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Fiji, Hawaii and the Galapagos.  ATLAS is ready for an epic journey:  she is turn-key, owned by a Master Mariner and is expertly and proactively maintained as a world-class expedition yacht should be.
