Graceful styling and a versatile layout—note the euro-style reverse
transom and extra-large cockpit—characterize the Alexander
50 Sedan, a modern pilothouse yacht from a company
known for its world-class products. Like many recent Ocean Alexander
designs, the 50 Sedan rides on an efficient low deadrise hull with generous beam and propeller pockets. The split-level salon/pilothouse floorplan of the 50 is arranged with the galley forward to port, opposite Lower helm station to starboard.
An L-shaped sectional sofa to port dominates the salon with it’s
high-gloss woodwork, entertainment center, and large cabin windows.
Note the beautiful wood joinerwork and teak/parquet sole throughout interior.

There are three staterooms below including a large master suite forward
with island berth, a VIP stateroom to port, and second guest cabin
opposite with over/under single berths. Both heads have separate
stall showers. The spacious cockpit of the 50 Sedan—with its large cockpit, built in storage seat across the transom, and molded cockpit steps—is far more spacious that any similar yacht. Wide side decks are a plus, and the swim platform has port and starboard entry gate

The owners of "Queezy" have cruised her extensively on the West Coast U.S., through the Panama canal, down through South America, The Bahamas etc.  She is a proven "Bluewater Cruising Yacht" and is equipped for long term cruising or as a comfortable weekend cruiser/liveaboard.

"Great comfortable good riding cruising boat, capable of long distance passage making,    cruised from Redondo beach California through the Panama Canal and across northern South America and the Carribean.  With her 3 comfortable staterooms, large salon, raised level galley and pilothouse we livedaboard in comfort and with her onboard watermaker we were able to stay at remote locations, plenty of fresh water for cooking, showers etc. We would set up a portable table seating 6 on the aft deck for "Al fresco dining under the stars" wherever our journey took us".

Manufacturer's Description

The Ocean Alexander 500 Sport Sedan is an sophisticated model that combines the luxury of a spacious, well-appointed interior with the responsiveness of a nimble and quick runabout. Introduced in 1992, her advanced design and engineering is marked by the high-tech Ocean Alexander Tunnel Concept. Meeting a demand for the least draft possible for gunkholing into shallower and more remote areas, the tunnel drive also allows for higher speeds, reduced vibrations, more compact machinery spaces, and larger interiors. The designer, Ed Monk, capitalized on this unique advancement to create a spacious three-stateroom, two-head arrangement. Standard to the sedan, large sliding doors lead from the main salon directly to the flush aft deck with easy access to the water from the cockpit transom door. Lower station visibility is excellent with a well equipped raised galley and companionway stairs to forward cabins. The owner's stateroom accommodates a queen-size berth, ample wardrobes, and an en suite head with a separate shower. Two guest staterooms with a shared head and stall shower complete the cruising necessities. Quality fixtures and fittings are used throughout the yacht, with beautiful joiner work in standard golden teak (or a selected alternative) providing a warm, hand-rubbed satin varnish finish to the interior.

Accommodations

Entry on to the vessel is from the transom either port or starboard into the cockpit from the Euro style reverse transom . From the cockpit you enter the salon through double sliding glass doors. Immediately to starboard is located cabinetry which houses the salon entertainment center featuring a Flat screen television and stereo equipment, to port is a convertible large L shaped settee and high/low table and across to starboard are 2 comfortable occasional chairs. Up 3 steps from the salon is the lower helm station located to starboard with a full array of instrumentation and double bench seat. Across from the helm station is the galley featuring black granite counter tops, adequate storage, double SS sink, garbage disposal, (Newer) Vitrigrifo dual voltage full size refrigerator/freezer, Sharp Carousel microwave/convection oven, GE Profile four burner electric cook top. Down a center companion way going forward located are the heads and staterooms. To port is the guest stateroom with a double berth and sufficient storage including a large hanging locker. The starboard guest stateroom features criss-crossed single berths , cedar lined hanging lockers and drawer storage and a separate locker which is used as a laundry center with a Splendade washer/dryer combo unit.

Going forward the guest head is to port featuring black granite counter top SS sink, Sealand vacu-flush head, stall shower. The master stateroom is located forward featuring a centerline berth, cedar lined hanging lockers, drawer storage; the private head features black granite counter tops, SS sink,vacu-flush head, stall shower and drawer and cabinet storage.

Air conditioning unit is NEW in the master stateroom and both other units have been replaced in the past 5 years.

Interior of the boat is very clean and features beautiful teak joinerwork throughout and her large forward and side windows give abundant light
