A very nice Twin MTU 1,000HP Powered 53 Ocean Super Sport that has been continually updated and upgraded by caring owners who have owned her for the past 10 years.
In the past 2 weeks she was hauled and was freshly Bottom painted, Oil/Filters changed, waxed, new zincs, prop speed and new underwater lights were installed and recently the entire topsides were painted.
She shows really well inside and out and appears to be a much newer boat.
NOTE: Hard to get Slip on floating dock at popular Harbortown Marina in Fort Pierce may be available to new owners at prevailing rate
Owners have no time to use her any longer and are moving on into a smaller boat.
REMARKS:
Clean lines, spectacular 3 stateroom(2 Queen staterooms) 2 Head interior layout with the Master located down to port,a spacious salon with galley up featuring a full size built in refrigerator, large well laid out flybridge with plenty of seating the 53 SS offers about as much well laid out, fast boat one can get in a convertible in the size and class range.
Replacing the popular 55 Super Sport in 1991, the 53 Super Sport was built on an all-new Ocean hull design with a sharper entry and slightly increased transom deadrise. The hull changes make the Ocean 53 a generally better headsea boat than her predecessor with a notably drier ride. Several floorplans were offered over the years, and while three-stateroom layouts have been the most popular, a two-stateroom, galley-down version with a dinette delivers an extremely spacious salon. Although the deckhouse dimensions are slightly smaller than the 55 Super Sport model she replaced, there’s plenty of room for entertaining, and the luxurious furnishings and teak woodwork create a very inviting atmosphere. A transom door was standard in the cockpit, and the fish box was re-positioned for improved access to the rudder posts. Additional features include a factory hardtop, a well-arranged engine room, and cockpit controls. Note the absence of the exterior teak trim seen in most previous Ocean models.
As you enter the salon through a sliding pocket door to port is an L-shaped sofa with storage under and forward of the sofa is the galley area which is tucked in privately with a full size stainless refrigerator, dishwasher, trash compactor, stove with oven, microwave, hi-gloss teak and holly floor and great storage. Across to starboard aft is the boat's electrical panel for wasy access when entering boat. Forward of that is a large leather recliner and forward of that is an L-shaped dinette. The interior is in great shape, stylish, all fyrnishings, carpeting, cushions in very good condition. Forward to starboard is a flat screen TV and entertainment center. Down 3 steps to companionway to port is the master stateroom with queen walkaround berth with hanging locker and good drawer storage and it's own private ensuite head with good sized shower stall. Across to starboard is a guest stateroom with upper/lower berths. forward of guest stateroom is VIP stateroom in the bow with queen island bed, great storage and private access to shared head with stall shower which is also serves as the guest/day head. The interior of the boat is clean, organized with Ocean's trademark varnished teak interior walls accented by wall covering here and there. This 3 stateroom interior is the preferred interior layout of this model and all 3 staterooms are geared toward comfortable cruising
