Overview

AUTUMN was originally built for a very knowledgeable couple with 30+ years of cruising experience on many different yachts. The heavy duty John Deere diesel engines were specifically ordered because of their robust construction, low maintenance cost, reliability, fuel economy and power load produced (torque). These John Deere engine series in this 65’ Outer Reef require substantially less maintenance than the Caterpillar series in sister ships. The lazarette was designed with many custom storage features for spare parts, work bench, tools, cleaning supplies and general storage areas for other items like bikes, extra-large fenders, etc. AUTUMN is the ideal cruising yacht for a couple, family and guests. This yacht has had an excellent maintenance history and is mechanically ready for an extended cruise. 

AUTUMN is a turn key yacht ready to go. All of the critical systems are designed with redundancy in mind - generators are identical, two fuel transfer pumps, backup hydraulic cooling pumps, helm electronics, davit remotes, two fresh water pumps and more.

WALKTHROUGH

This 2009 Outer Reef 65 was built with the maximum volume available in a 65 ft. yacht. She has dual staircases from her extended swim platform which lead to a fully covered aft deck. The aft deck has built-in seating with storage below along with additional storage areas on the port and starboard sides. There is a wet bar with a built-in fridge and ice maker. A ladder to starboard gives access to the flybridge. Wing doors port and starboard and a new full screen enclosure add privacy and comfort to the aft deck. 

The main salon is entered through double doors from the aft deck. This is a very spacious area with seating to port and starboard and a large built in flat screen TV forward. There are numerous built-in cabinets and storage areas as well. A custom hi-lo teak table converts from coffee table to a full-height dining table with opening leaves. Beautiful upgraded cherry interior throughout.

Forward and up 2 steps is the galley. The galley has upgraded appliances and voluminous, full height pantries. Counters and backsplashes were also upgraded to granite. 

The pilothouse has a large, comfortable L-shaped settee and table, an upgraded Stidd helm chair and port and starboard opening doors. The ¾ beam helm console is home to an extensive, state-of-the-art electronics package. There are two staircases from the pilothouse, both on the starboard side, one leading to the flybridge, and the other to the owner and guest staterooms below. 

The VIP stateroom has a queen berth with spacious drawer storage below. There are twin hanging lockers. The private ensuite head and shower has upgraded granite counters. Access to this stateroom head can also be made from the hallway joining the staterooms. 

Moving aft, the second guest stateroom is to port with an athwartship queen berth and additional single berth above, a hanging locker and cabinet storage. This stateroom also has an ensuite head with shower. 

Opposite the port guest stateroom is a full-size washer and dryer and storage lockers. 

The Master suite is amidships with king berth, walk-in hanging locker forward as well as a second large hanging locker, full-height drawers and cabinets. Opposite the end of the berth is a dresser with storage above and a flat screen TV. The master head is to port with granite counter tops and an oversized shower with built-in seating. A center door located on the aft bulkhead leads to a watertight door with a viewing port. This is the forward access to the engine room. 

The six-foot-plus headroom and ease of access to all systems makes engine room movement hassle free. In addition to the twin John Deere engines, there are 2 generators, a watermaker, hydraulics and A/C systems.

Aft of the engine room is the another watertight door and second teak door to a workshop and storage area. Moving all the way aft is the the watertight transom door opening to the extended swim platform. 

The flybridge may be the largest flybridge of any 65' series produced with a full-width hardtop. The flybridge helm features many repeater electronics and 2 upgraded Stidd helm chairs. There are built-in settees w/adjustable tables to port and starboard, a BBQ, fridge/icemaker, sink, and built-in deck box. The boat deck, which is aft of the seating, holds a 15' Novurania wide body tender. The upgraded crane with extended hydraulic arm is designed to launch the tender either to the starboard side or aft to the swim platform.

The Outer Reef 650 series has full covered walk-around decks and a Portuguese bridge forward with an opening gate door to the fore deck. There is built-in seating just forward that has been custom-extended to a lounger. Furthest forward is the vertical windlass with a 55 kilo Rocna and 300 foot of 3/8 chain.

BROKER'S REMARKS

AUTUMN, having already been detailed during her build by very knowledgeable cruising owners was further embellished by her second owners. The new upgraded 2000lb fully hydraulic davit easily lifts the 2014 15' well equipped Novurania and conveniently launches the tender aft to the swim platform for easy boarding as well as to the starboard size of the yacht. For additional ease of operation by a cruising couple the vessel was originally equipped with the Glendinning remote system with three plug in locations to effectively allow remote operation from any area. The second owners added a completely wireless Yacht Controller system. From the recently added full enclosure around the hardtop, new electronic's screens at the flybridge helm, other additions, and the owner's high level of exterior and interior maintenance, AUTUMN appears as a very late model yacht, with many years of future trouble free cruising for her next owners.
