Overview
The Mangusta 165 REV superyacht, launched in 2022, garnered attention with its striking design and revolutionary features. Developed collaboratively by Overmarine's Engineering Department and Lobanov Design, the yacht showcases an aggressive profile that embodies Mangusta's iconic style. Its rounded and curved shapes create a timeless and elegant appearance, representing a significant departure from the previous Mangusta 165 model.
The exterior lines of the Mangusta 165 REV draw inspiration from 1930s sports cars, featuring an elongated bow, low profile, and dynamic lines. These design elements cleverly conceal the yacht's 499 GT interior volume. Notably, the yacht introduces a fresh perspective on onboard living with large side windows in the main saloon, seamlessly connecting the interior and exterior spaces and providing guests with a genuine connection to the surrounding ocean. Additionally, an additional glazed strip in the main saloon extends up to the ceiling, allowing natural light to illuminate the room. Two side windows in the saloon open onto fold-down balconies, offering breathtaking sea views and inviting abundant sunlight into the area.
Similar to other Mangusta yachts, the Mangusta 165 REV boasts impressive interior volumes, accommodating up to 12 guests with a master stateroom on the main deck. Placing the owner's stateroom on the main deck maximizes privacy for the owner and opens up the lower deck entirely for guests. The master stateroom, inspired by New York penthouses, spans two levels and prioritizes privacy. Streamlined side windows and a versatile entrance lounge create a secluded oasis with comfortable sofas and coffee tables. The lower level of the owner's suite features circular shapes, rounded windows, and a custom-made round bed, designed according to the owner's preferences. The suite also includes an onyx-clad bathroom and two spacious dressing rooms with ceiling-high glazed surfaces offering stunning views of the sea.
The Mangusta 165 REV seamlessly integrates interior and exterior spaces, providing ample deck areas for socializing while ensuring privacy for guests. The innovative beach club allows guests to immerse themselves in the surroundings, featuring sunpads and sofas. The infinity pool seamlessly blends into the sea, establishing a harmonious connection between the yacht and the ocean. The sundeck, spanning 69 square meters, features a bar and comfortable seating area. The yacht's tender garage, situated on the lateral side, can accommodate a Williams 625 tender.
In terms of performance, the Mangusta 165 REV delivers impressive capabilities. Powered by four Rolls Royce 2,600 horsepower MTU engines and four Kongsberg-Kamewa waterjets, the yacht achieves a maximum speed of 34 knots. Overmarine has prioritized fuel efficiency, reducing consumption and maintaining speed, resulting in a 30% decrease compared to the previous series. The yacht operates smoothly and silently, thanks to Veem gyro stabilizers, ensuring minimal vibrations and noise both at anchor and during cruising. These stabilizers enable comfortable cruising at speeds of 10 to 12 knots, surpassing the experience of similarly sized displacement vessels.
