Overview

The Mangusta Oceano 50 provides customers with yet another option in the  steel displacement series, plus beneath the  500-gross-ton threshold. In addition, the megayacht offers buyers some features not found on her smaller and larger sisters.

The trideck, measuring about 164 feet (49.9 meters), has  the creature comforts today’s cruisers expect. These include a spacious beach club,  which  aboard the  Mangusta Oceano 50 has  three fold-down platforms, for an airier look and feel. But, the way it’s arranged is unusual. You can  actually walk around the outside perimeter when all three hatches are down. This would be handy if you’re using your mobile phone’s camera to video your kids on the watertoys, and  they blast past you in going around the yacht.

Another unusual arrangement is the foredeck swimming pool. At first glance, you wouldn’t even know  it’s there, because of plentiful slatted teak. It’s beneath the teak—and it’s actually primarily the toy garage. It can  hold  two PWCs  as well as a tender upwards of 6 meters (20 feet) LOA. When the toys  go in the water, though, the crew can  fill the hold  with water, then activate counter-current jets. Finally, loose lounges can  group together just at the water’s edge. Whatever you choose, long range is at your disposal. The Mangusta Oceano 50 should see a best range of 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots. The twin MTUs should permit a max speed of 16 knots as well.
