Overview

Great looking 54 which has been cherished by an owner that we know well. Push button rig and a full blue water specification - she is good to go.

Broker's Comments

The Oyster 54 is an outstanding blue water cruising yacht of quality that can easily be handled with a modest crew and which offers rewarding sailing.   She has a comfortable and stylish interior. SURYA is in her first ownership and as you will read she has a phenomenal specification. She has been maintained to the highest standards.

Owner's Comments

SURYA has been an excellent cruising yacht.  Her stand out point is her behavior in every sea state.  She is robust, well-mannered and we have always felt safe and secure aboard her with never a moment’s doubt about her ability to take any situation in her stride.

We have sailed her 2 handed a lot and everything is close at hand for easy sail handling, assisted by the electric winches and hydraulic sailing handling systems.  Having the hydraulic outhaul on the mainsail is a particular plus as it makes sail handling and trim very simple.  It was an expensive upgrade, but it was worth every penny.   She is docile and easy to maneuver at close quarters.

We have also been pleasantly surprised that she performs well in light airs which is not always the case with a cruising yacht of this type.   We have been so impressed by SURYA that we are replacing her with a new sister ship, which like SURYA will take us across the Atlantic. After our good experience with SURYA we have high expectations of our new Oyster.

Note: All personal belongings and all other items not expressly listed in the above inventory are excluded from the sale. Name to be retained by owner.
