HULL NUMBER  Oyster 575/16.  

HULL CONSTRUCTION The hull is a composite construction comprising of a combination of E Glass, Kevlar and Carbon Fibre, moulded from female tools. Topsides are cored and hull is monolithic below the waterline.  

HULL FINISH  White hull with cove line and double boot top lines in standard Oyster blue.  

DECK CONSTRUCTION  Moulded in GRP with balsa core.

GENERAL Eight berths in four cabins, excluding the saloon. Interior joinery finished in maple. Designed to be modern and co-ordinated, whilst remaining practical and durable at sea. Essential features include sculpted fiddles and grabrails, ‘shadow-gap’ joints between panels and Oyster custom knobs for lockers and drawers. Cabin soles in walnut with holly stripes. Removable protective vinyl floor covering throughout. Surfaces in galley and heads in Avonite colour ‘Infinity’ in satin. Headlining in off-white vinyl. Upholstery – seating in saloon, berth surrounds in forward and double cabins of Alcantara colour ‘Anthracite’.  Headboards in Z & R Galaxy. Lee screens on sea berths. Oceanair blinds throughout to hullports and portlights. Oceanair skyscreens to all deck hatches. Caframo fans.  

DOUBLE CABIN Spacious double cabin in the bow, with a centreline double berth and two drawers beneath, two lift-top bins in side shelving, a large, shelved, clothes locker to port and a hanging locker to starboard.  Berth bases on gas struts for easy access and stowage beneath.  The deck is accessible via the forehatch.  

TWIN CABIN Aft of the standard forecabin, to port, is a cabin with upper and lower berths, hull-side  lockers for clothes, a bedside cabinet with a shelved locker and a large hanging locker, with two drawers beneath. There are small lockers beneath the lower berth, accessed either via removable lids in the bunk top, or a drop-front locker door in the berth front. A vanity mirror is fitted on the aft bulkhead.  

HEADS These forward cabins share a large WC compartment to starboard, accessed from the passageway, incorporating a Dometic Masterflush WC, washbasin and separate shower stall. There is an upper locker with a mirrored door and stowage beneath the basin. 

SALOON The saloon features a rectangular table and large settee area to port, outboard of which are a pair of lockers and a central shelf to the hullport.  The saloon table is designed to form, in its closed position, an occasional table, which can be extended using the hinged central infill, stored in the pedestal top.  The table top is a veneered panel with walnut inlay line.  Two directors chairs upholstered in Alcantara provide extra seating whilst in harbour.  To starboard is a three-seater, L-shaped settee.  Outboard of this and forward is a locker and a central shelf to the hullport area.  Bottle stowage is in the saloon table pedestal.  Foam backed saloon table cover in headlining vinyl.  

GALLEY The galley is located to port of the cockpit, in the passageway to the aft cabin.  All galley surfaces are covered with satin finish Avonite colour ‘Infinity’ and incorporate fiddles with upstands.  Stainless steel bars inserted into the Avonite to the left of stove for resting pans.  There are routered grooves in the worktop for drainage into the sinks.  A sliding rubbish bin is fitted inside a locker forward of the sinks. Ample stowage for crockery, etc. Large locker fitted out with shelves and baskets for additional galley stowage.  Removable panels for access to the engine compartment located under sinks.  A large locker is built into the aft end of the engine room space, opposite the refrigerator. This locker is fitted out with shelves and baskets for additional galley equipment stowage.  

 SINKS Twin stainless steel sinks.  

 COOKER/HOB GN Espace Oceanchef 5-burner hob, oven and grill.  

 MICROWAVE Panasonic NN-V623M 900W.  

 REFRIGERATOR Frigomatic 24V keel-cooled refrigeration unit, stainless steel unit with stainless steel door.  

 FREEZER Frigomatic BD80 compressor with integrated plate for stainless steel freezer box.  

 WASHER/DRIER Not fitted.  Hull outlets in place for retrofit. 

NAVIGATION AREA The chart area is at the aft starboard end of the saloon.  Instruments are mounted in the optimum viewing position, at the correct angle, for ease of reading. The table can accommodate a half-folded Admiralty chart.  There is a good bookshelf outboard of this for a Nautical Almanac and Pilot Books.  AC and DC electrical panels are in a brushed aluminium look and located behind the navigator's seat, and fitted with hinged acrylic doors to protect the switches from being accidentally operated.  There are two drawers beneath the chart table.  

TWIN CABIN Aft of the saloon on the starboard side, with upper and lower berths.  There is a small locker beneath the lower berth and hull-side lockers above the top berth.  Locker on shower bulkhead for watermaker.  

ENGINE ROOM The engine room is insulated with a composite of foam and high-density polymer sound absorbing materials, with an overall panel thickness of 40mm.  All access panels are fitted with rubber sealing strips to minimise noise and secured by positive catches.  The engine room has 24V lighting and a 24V extractor fan.  

OWNER’S STATEROOM The aft cabin is configured with a double berth offset from the centreline, with feature headboard and twin drawers beneath.  To starboard there is a settee and dressing table, a locker adjacent to the berth and a locker outboard both forward and aft of the seat.  A large hanging locker and sliding door stowage is installed to port.  Outboard, and aft to port is a locker.  Forward, beneath the cockpit, there is a recess with a locker beneath.  The aft cabin benefits from abundant drawer and locker space.  Carpet in colour ‘Stone’.  Fulllength mirror on inside face of heads door.  Lockers lined in cedar wood.  From this cabin there is access to the aft en-suite head to starboard.  TV socket in recess.  

EN SUITE HEAD/SHOWER Incorporating a Dometic Masterflush fresh-water flush toilet, washbasin, separate shower stall and a mirrored locker.
