Overview
The new generation of Picchiotti motor yachts from the Vitruvius® series is born from the collaboration between Vitruvius Ltd, Philippe Briand and the Perini Navi Group.
The fundamental concepts behind the yacht project are expressed mainly in the hull and superstructure, in the arrangement of on-board spaces and in the abundance of tenders and toys for the exploration and discovery of the yacht’s environment. These yachts have been designed for maximum efficiency and autonomous navigation. Picchiotti motor yachts share the attributes of the highly acclaimed Perini Navi sailing yachts for seagoing comfort, custom quality and long lasting value.
In the years 2010-2011 hull #1 of the Picchiotti 50 m series "Exuma" won 6 important awards and prizes internationally, a result that reinforces and confirms the success that the Perini Navi Group’s first motor yacht built under the Picchiotti brand name has had. These awards and prizes are the following: Robb Report's "Best of the Best" 2011 Custom Megayachts, 2011 Boat International World Superyacht Award Motor Yacht of the Year and Best Displacement Motor Yacht of Below 500GT, Rina Green Plus 2010 – Platinum Certification, 2010 World Yacht Trophy World Most Innovative Yacht of the Year, 2010 Nautical Design Awards Best Motor Yacht in 40m + Size Range. Exuma is currently living up to all expectations and enjoying a tour of the Pacific while completing her first circumnavigation.
Two more Picchiotti motor yachts from the Vitruvius® series have been delivered from the Perini Navi Group’s shipyards: the 55 m Picchiotti Galileo G from the Vitruvius® series in the summer of 2011 which has just completed her own maiden circumnavigation cruise and a 73 m Picchiotti from the Vitruvius® series being delivered in August 2014.
