Rico II is powered by twin Volvo TAMD 41 inline 6 cylinder diesels making 165hp each.
The port engine has approximately 659 hours.
The starboard engine has approximately 658 hours.
New turbo in 2017 on the starboard engine.
27' Phoenix Helm
The helm is located on deck to the starboard and has room to stand or sit comfortably at the wheel. The MORSE Marine controls for the engine and transmission are mounted to the right and left side of the wheel. Also at the helm are controls for the trim tabs and windlass. The gauge clusters show engine temperature, voltage, fuel level, oil pressure, and RPM for both port and starboard. The helm closes up with plastic covers for the electronics, and has a canvas cover for the entire helm.
27' Phoenix Head
The head is located on the starboard side of the cabin, and separated by a door. Inside there is enough room to stand. The head has built in storage above and below the fiberglass sink with a faucet that pulls out to a shower. The head is push button electric with a macerator and the porthole can be opened.
27' Phoenix Galley
Located in the cabin on the port side is the galley. The galley features Storage and equipment that is all built in and securely mounted. The large single bowl sink and dual burner alcohol range have covers that make even more use from the countertop. Above the countertop you will find the microwave, two cabinets, a shelf up top, and a porthole that can be opened. Under the counter between two large cabinets is the Refrigerator with built in freezer and a stack of three drawers.
27' Phoenix Forward Berth
The bunk in this 27' Phoenix raises up to make a table with seating around three sides, and the table goes down to make a padded double bunk. There are shelves along either side for storage, and A/C vents to cool the area. The hatch overhead opens for fresh air, and lets in plenty of natural light. The 7000 btu Cruiseair marine air conditioning unit is also located up front under the bunk.
