This Pursuit 3800 express is loaded with every option and well equipped for fishing, cruising, and family fun on the water.  For the fisherman she features outriggers, rocket launchers, rod holders, a 50 gallon livewell, bait prep station, loads of tackle storage and macerated fish boxes.  For the cruiser she features a comfortable cabin with teak and holly sole, a spacious galley, full dinette, icemaker, walk around queen size berth forward, and a head with separate shower.  Dive enthusiasts will appreciate the full swim platform and a transom door to starboard with shower.  The build quality is top notch and she has the preferred Volvo 480hp diesels with only 850 hours.  Recent improvements include new isenglass in 2016, new cockpit coaming pads and new upholstery on the mezzanine seat.  Vessel is conveniently located outside Annapolis, MD on the Severn River only 18 miles from BWI (Baltimore Washington International) airport.

The Pursuit 3800 Express is ruggedly built to tame the waters of the world and to hunt for trophy gamefish. Offering a quick yet dry, comfortable ride to the fishing grounds, this boat comes with a complete array of standard features. The cockpit provides easy access to expansive bait prep stations, tackle and rigging storage, an optional bait freezer, large fish boxes, a sink with washdowns, and rod holders. The bridge / deck configuration is designed to accommodate a large captain's chair with a big lounge, an impressive command center starboard, and the cabin entrance conveniently centered. Belowdecks, the cabin has been appointed with conveniences and sleeping accommodations usually reserved for pure cruising vessels. Amenities abound, such as an efficient galley area, abundant storage, a standup separate stall shower in the head, and stylish fabrics in the lower salon. A portside combination berth / settee is also standard, and significant rod and reel storage is also provided.

Powerboat Guide Description

One of largest express boats of her era, the Pursuit 3800 Express is a big inboard express whose bold styling was the subject of much attention when she was introduced in 2002. Heavily built on a modified-V hull with a wide 14'2" beam and a solid fiberglass bottom, the cockpit dimensions of the 3800 rival those of a larger boat. A comfortable L-shaped settee is opposite the double helm seat, and the entire helm deck can be raised at the push of a button for access to the engines. The cockpit—which can easily handle a full-size fighting chair—is fitted with a full array of fishing amenities including a bait-prep center, 50-gallon standup livewell, cockpit freezer, in-deck storage, rod storage racks, and a foldaway transom seat. Belowdecks, the spacious teak-trimmed interior of the 3800 Express sleeps six and includes a convertible L-shaped dinette (with inlaid teak table), aft quarterberth with flipup backrest, head with separate stall shower, and a queen berth forward with privacy curtain. Note upright rod display locker just inside the companionway. Among several engine options, 450hp Cummins (or 480hp Volvo) diesels cruise in the mid 20s (30+ top).
