Overview
Built in 2010, SW110 Thalima is Southern Wind flagship. This yacht is the perfect blend of a high-performance and nimble yacht, fun to steer, aesthetically linear and a bluewater yacht to sail around the world in safety and comfort. This
elegant 110-footer represents the achievement of the finetuned and well established team work between Southern Wind and Nauta Design, responsible for the general concept, exterior and interior design and Farr Yacht Design for the naval architecture, sail plan and appendages.
Thalima’s hull has been constructed in advanced composite sandwich, utilising carbon fibre for the inner hull skin, deck, bulkheads and reinforcement plus mast, boom and standing rigging. This combination contributes to her mediumlight displacement making her enjoyable in all conditions. The low-slung coachroof
design allows for a sporty yet elegant look without compromising on the generous interior volumes.
The deck plan has been designed for easy sailing and comfort both for crew and guests. The crew cockpit aft is separated from the guest cockpit and is an ideal maneuvering space with independent and direct access to the crew quarter. The guest cockpit amidship is provided with two extendable and openable teak finished tables. A sunbathing area adjacent to the guest cockpit creates a comfortable lounging space, close enough to the shaded center cockpit to join the conversation.
Thalima interior layout features a clear separation between the crew and guest areas for mutual privacy and relaxation. The social heart of Thalima is the full beam saloon: ample, well-lit and perfectly equipped to make the owners and his guests feel comfortable and at home.
A lounge area lays slightly below the saloon giving the impression of a big open
space; it is served by an Apple TV Entertainment.
The owner’s cabin forward features a study area, walk-in wardrobe and a head that includes a shower compartment with LED light therapy plus a bath tub.
The guest areas feature three generous cabins. Two twin cabins, each with separate individual berths are located aft of the saloon on either side.
The VIP cabin lies forward of the saloon on the port side and features a kingsize walkaround bed plus carbon details and LED light therapy in the shower.
The crew area is located aft and includes three cabins nav station and a spacious galley, all with direct access to the aft cockpit via a dedicated companionway. The galley is designed and equipped to satisfy the most discerning professional chefs and offers significant storage for extended navigation away from harbours.
