Overview

Built in 2001, “Early Purple II” is the second of four yachts built on the Farr-Nauta 93’/95’ project. She combines the famous Naval architecture of Farr Yacht Design, with the concept and the Italian style of Nauta Yacht Design and the handcraftsmanship of Southern Wind Shipyard.
She is fast and easy to sail with the minimum of crew and proved to be the ideal yacht for blue water enjoyment.
Early Purple II boats an around the world tour started by her proud owners in 2011.

The hull is constructed in composite sandwich on a male mould and using SP System epoxy resin and vacuum bagging, making the yacht light and enjoyable in any wind condition. The mast and park avenue boom were constructed by Southern Spars out of carbon fibre.

The deck layout is practical and safe at sea. The guests’ cockpit placed amidships leads to the owner’s and guests’ living and accommodation areas while the aft companionway leads to the crew quarters and galley. Foldable spray dodgers shelter both companionways and the whole area under the park avenue carbon boom can be protected with a foldable bimini as well as a removable awning.
The lazarette has been designed with a very ample storage capability, particularly useful in case of blue water navigations. Access aboard is via a retractable passerelle, conveniently recessed in the transom which features a hydraulically operated swim platform, spot lit at night by underwater lights.

Below deck, the Italian styling is evident in the classic interior features handcrafted in teak and her nteriors offer the generous volumes of a 100 footer yacht.
The layout follows the classic SWS configuration with an ample owner’s cabin forward, three guest cabins amidships, the crew quarters and galley aft, to ensure privacy on board, and a full height engine room.
The functional saloon is composed of a dining area with a table that can be raised or lowered and adjusted in size according to needs.
The saloon also offers a sitting area which features a flat screen television (concealed below the counter when not in use), supported by Bang & Olafsen system whose sound can be relayed to the deck.

Well-appointed accommodation positions the master cabin, with a walk-in closet, in the bow and the double guest cabins, port and starboard of the mast. Each cabin has en suite heads. The port side cabin offer a vanity desk which can be converted into a single bunk. An additional en suite double guest cabin is located aft of the saloon.
The crew quarters feature both a skipper’s cabin and a double crew cabin. All are equipped with their own music system and are fully airconditioned.
The nav station and galley are privately located aft with ease of access to all appliances, refrigeration and abundant storage.
The sound proofed full height engine room is easily accessible from above and below deck. The neat arrangement of systems and machinery, provides for easy access and maintenance.
The main engine delivers 370 Hp to a four-bladed Branton propeller, generating the best performance and fuel consumption ratio in all conditions.
