Overview

SPIRIT OF ROMO is a remarkable explorer yacht for sale, capable of operating autonomously for extended periods of time. Built originally as a Royal Danish Navy cutter, the vessel underwent a substantial refit in the Netherlands in 2018 and can almost be considered ‘as new’. It was outfitted at Talsma Shipyard with the sole intention of enabling its owner and guests to enjoy new adventures and explore the oceans.

The DNA of the yacht ensures naval and commercial build standards whilst recent technical upgrades satisfy both guest and crew needs including a new (2019) Cummins Tier II engine, the latest Veem Gyro stabiliser and a bridge featuring the latest navigation equipment and instrumentation.

Embarking gives the immediate feeling of a true oceangoing vessel where adventure and escape awaits.

Spirit of Romo's layout is both welcoming for guests and operationally well planned for crew. Covering three decks (bridge deck, main deck, and lower deck), with embarkation from either the portside midship, aft stern or via the hydraulic steps when deployed which are used for tender embarkation, swimming or diving.

Outside guests can enjoy dining on the aft deck and reclining on the upper deck lounge areas whilst the foredeck houses a 5.5m tender and hydraulic crane and the 4m tender is stowed on the upper deck aft. Both tenders have less than 100 hours of use and are rated 90hp and 25hp respectively

Moving inside, the main deck is home to the main salon and dining area, a day head, the commercial galley and forward the secluded owner’s suite. On the lower deck are three guest cabins (two double and one twin, all en suite) making a total of 8 guests.

The captain’s cabin is located on the bridge deck with a further two crew cabins on the lower deck (one with twin bunk).

Well built with traditional lines and functional thinking, Spirit of Romo is ready for a new owner to enjoy her combination of modern technology and the romance of life on the ocean wave.
