Overview

The Essence 33 design is the elegant result of the collaboration between Hoek Design and the producer Yagt.

The Essence 33 was designed as a daysailer, but is also a seaworthy yacht. One sails the Essence 33 in the company of good friends. A day on the water, surrounded by freedom and luxury, with a nice glass of wine and a well-filled cool box. Both the interior as well as the deck will give you plenty of space for these purposes. Despite its considerable size, the ship can be trailered so there is no need to worry about expensive moorings in the warmer regions. You are maneuverable, flexible and free to go wherever you please.

The Essence is one with the fanatic sailor, who also wants to enjoy the good life. The exterior is prepared for spectacular sailing perfomance, but is also perfect for a sunny, lazy afternoon with one less sail in the bay. The seating comfort is excellent and is characterized by a natural nonchalance, with taut pillows in stylish shades. The teak deck has white accenting lines. Overall, simplicity dominates: what normally a lineage disturbs, has been eliminated, so nothing distracts the attention from the boat. The most important part is that everything is correct and is in balance with each other. Both the concept and styling of the Essence are like a classic jewel, but the technique is hypermodern.

The Essence is based on a beautiful design, with a tight interplay of lines and a sportive touch. The interior styling is perfectly suited, and includes a sophisticated finishing touch and surprising combination of materials. Of course we offer the oppurtunity to integrate your own preferences into the end result. We work primarily with hightech materials such as carbon, which is not only lightweight but also beautiful and strong. We create an exclusive appearance, which is both warm and welcoming, through the use of hand selected fabrics, colors, and stitching patterns. The standard layout utilizes every square centimeter and emphasizes the essence of the boat: class and quality.

The Essence 33 is a very successful Hoek Design daysailer, with 6 boats that already have been sold and sailing in various regions over the world. For instance hull numbers 3, 5 and later on 6 will be sailing in the waters of Long Island NY.

The Essence 33 is being built in series and standard price  is starting from € 245.000 (ex VAT).

Rig & Sails

Mast: Carbon fibre mast colour painted or clear coat with twosets of aluminium spreaders and 8 degrees swept aft shrouds. Mast top fitting with one sheave for main halyard, two sheaves for genoa and one sheave for topmast spinnaker halyard.
Boom: Carbon boom with one reef, hydraulic outhaul and boomvang.
Bowsprit: Carbon fibre tapered bowsprit with fittings for a fixed forestay and bobstay. Bowsprit tip to be fitted with gennaker tack fitting and with fitting to lead anchor line through.
Standing rigging: Rod rigging Nitronic 50.
Headstay furler: Harken headstay furler.
Sail Handling: Main and jib controlled from cockpit.
Hydraulic gauge: Pressure gauge for backstay, boomvang and outhaul.

Hull: Epoxy composite sandwich construction, with a high density foam core and carbon fibre inner webs constructed by using a composite resin infusion molding process.
Deck: Epoxy composite sandwich construction, with a highdensity foam core and carbon fibre reinforced front deck,
constructed by using a composite resin infusion molding process.
Keel: Epoxy composite sandwich fin construction, with a high density foam core on a stainless steel and duplex steel frame, joined on a cast lead bulb. Top plate of the fin will slot into a casing where it is bolted into the hull construction.

Deck

Deck: Parallel to the bulwark run First Class, seasoned teakwood, quarter sawn, deck strakes.
Cap Rail: Sculpted Essence teak profile.
Anchor Locker: Deck access hatch with anchor mounted in the forepeak storage. An anchor line and roller fairlead can be fitted on the bowsprit.
Cleats: Six Seasmart B175 aluminium silver anodized folding cleats will be imbedded in cap rail and are delivered as standard.
Eyebrow: Teak molding around cabin top.
Hatches: Flush teak deck hatches with gutters, drains and flush securing hardware. Companionway hatch will be removable. Necessary lock for will be provided.
Drains: Three stainless steel scuppers will be fitted each side of the boat.

Paint and finish

Hull: AWL grip 2 components.
Deck: AWL grip 2 components.

Bottom: Antifouling.
