Overview

This 42' Atlantic Duffy Extended Hardtop Cruiser was custom finished in Brewster, Massachusetts by Cape Island Boats from 2002 to 2003 to a very high standard. She is equipped with a single Cummins 580 hp diesel, which provides 15 knots fully loaded, with a maximum speed of 21 knots. The engine has approximately 2010 hours as reported on hour meter. An extraordinary emphasis was spent in her design on future servicing of all mechanical and electrical systems, i.e. more engine room hatches were provided and the placement of the equipment allows easy access to work on all systems. The interior finish was done in the Herreshoff style with varnished cherry raised-paneled joiner work. The exterior of the vessel was designed and built for a "no maintenance" finish with bow rail, transom door, swim platform and no teak woodwork. The interior layout is ideal for a couple who appreciate a large salon, with separate built-in helm and captain's chair, a U-shaped galley below which is easily seen from the helm, separate but generous-sized berth forward, and a separate shower stall with enclosed head. The salon is spacious, bright and open. This is an exceptionally well-thought out "Downeast" Cruiser easily handled by a cruising couple.
