Overview

PURA VIDA is a 2017 Azimut Magellano 66 with under 350 original hours with over $800,000 worth of options onboard including but not limited to: water maker, Seakeeper gyro stabilizer, Raymarine touch screen monitors, joystick controls, Apple TV throughout, upgraded interior decor package, custom Williams 385 jet tender, blue hull color, extended 5-year warranty (transferable to new owner).

PURA VIDA won the "Most Innovative Yacht" award in its class the year it was introduced at the Cannes Boat Show.

The Magellano models can be defined as all-weather boats because of their characteristic to offer a comfortable navigation and excellent seakeeping both in calm sea conditions and in moderate to rough seas.

Thanks to the ample autonomy provided by large fuel tanks and the possibility to navigate at displacement speed in full comfort, Magellano models can be presented to the market as modern and sophisticated long range yachts being able to guarantee to the most demanding yachtsmen the maximum cruising freedom.

In calm sea, the navigation is really pleasurable, reaching a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 16-18 knots with a range of 500nm at economical speeds.

But the real essence of the Magellano comes out as soon as she starts to ride in moderate and rough seas condition. Thanks to the Dual Mode Hull - a unique combination of vertical bow with the inverted bell shape of the hull forward section - the stress usually generated by the impact with the sea is completely eliminated.

The tendency to slam is significantly reduced, the boat cutting easily through the waves and reducing the vertical acceleration. At the same time the important volume of the forward section provides a constant reserve of buoyancy which helps reduce the pitching amplitude.

The overall cruising comfort is top class, especially if you compare it with other planning hull yachts in similar condition.

The second relevant characteristic of the Magellano is the superior seakeeping and excellent cruise stability you may experience also in beam and following seas. The rounded shape of the hull along the centerline makes the motion smoother and more gradual, avoiding sudden heeling typical of hard chine planning hulls.

Main Salon

Entering the main salon through the glass sliding doors, you first notice the large glass windows that run the length of the salon. To port you have a large L-shaped settee and opposite a loveseat to starboard that hides a pop-up TV behind it. To starboard you also have a custom built-in bar area with storage for glassware & bottles.

Continuing forward is a formal dining area seating (6) to port, and a staircase to starboard that leads down to the guest accommodations.

Galley and Lower Helm

Both the galley & lower helm are all the way forward and can be separated from the rest of the living spaces by a hidden pocket door & shade the lowers down. The galley is to port and has a full-size refrigerator & freezer, 4-burner stove top, microwave/convection oven and plenty of storage including a large pantry. This allows the owner & guests to provision for long passages. There is also a side entry way to starboard which allows the crew to enter this space without having to interrupt the guests in the main salon. Upgraded for separation between galley and lower helm to allow for private dining and silver service option as needed for guests.

The lower helm has (2) comfortable leather helm chairs and excellent visibility surrounded by windows. The helm features (2) Raymarine touch screen monitors, bow & stern thruster controls, joystick, Seakeeper gyro monitor and a small sliding window that allows the captain to communicate with the deck crew while docking.
