Overview
RECENT PRICE REDUCTION May 2019
WEECHEKUM was built by Black Watch at the Little Harbor Marine facility in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. She has been lightly fished, has very good equipment and is capable of traveling to and from the canyons from New England. She is a refined and upgraded BLACK WATCH 33 with a tower.
Hinckley Yacht Service in Portsmouth has recently performed major engine service in 2017, where both Cummins 6BT series Diesel engines were removed, the port engine was replaced with a new Cummins engine and the starboard checked and cleaned and reinstalled.
The engine room area has been cleaned and repainted for a substantial freshening. The port engine is a brand new long block. In addition, substantial and significant SOUNDOWN brand insulation, layered with lead sheeting, was added to the engine room yielding a superly quiet and nearly vibration free cockpit.
She has sleeping below for four and has a head with shower and galley with sink with pressure hot and cold running water, stove and refrigerator.
She is ready to go cruising or fishing. With her hard top and windshield, she offers greater protection for your family than many of the similar sized yachts available. She is a venerable fishing machine: strong, stable, fast, and she has a wonderful motion at sea due to her design.
She is only for sale due to the owner's lack of usage, please contact our office for details.
Overview
OverallThe Blackwatch 33 design was the product of a boutique designer: C. Raymond Hunt and Associates, and built by equally boutique a builder, Ted Hood, at Little Harbor Marine in Portsmouth RI.
The interior has many custom features such as rod storage, custom bunks, custom helm boxes and more. The dinette forward sleeps two, and a pair of bunks fold down providing berths for two. The teak and holly sole provides New England charm while practically, offering an offset to the lighter interior.
White laminate bulkheads are easily cleaned and maintained. An enclosed head compartment to starboard includes a sink with hot and cold pressure water, marine toilet and a shower. The galley is very functional. In addition, substantial and significant SOUNDOWN brand insulation, layered with lead sheeting, was added to the engine room yielding a superly quiet and nearly vibration free cockpit and interior.
What may set apart WECHEKUM from many other of her sisters is her substantial and recent mechanical updates. A.k.a.: The heavy lifting. The real material aspects of her being. A substantial refit of her mechanicals was performed at The Hinckley Company facility in Portsmouth RI to bring her in line and make her run beautifully.
It is for this reason she makes such a compelling purchase.
