Overview

Catalina 34's are well built sailboats that have enjoyed a storied production run and still draw fans of racing and cruising today. Ukiyo is a 1992 Catalina 34 designed by Frank Butler and carries an average PHRF rating of 138. Ukiyo is set up for single hand sailing with all lines and sheets leading into the cockpit. Ukiyo is the shoal draft, wing keel version that is near perfect for the Chesapeake Bay and other areas where shoal water is prevalent. Down below it is comfortable and surprisingly roomy for a 34 foot boat. If you are looking for a weekend cruiser/ racer for fun with friends, or a romantic cruise with your significant other, then come see Ukiyo and get out on the water. The fall winds are coming. 

1992 Catalina 34 Ukiyo Walkthrough

Ukiyo has a large cockpit with ample seating and a pass through stern with swim ladder. The companionway going forward is wide and the steps below are sturdy with good hand holds. The galley is to starboard and the head is to port. The aft full size berth is to starboard. There is a salon table forward of the galley and a built in couch  with navigation station to port. The forward vee berth has drawers and a hanging locker and is separated from the salon by a bulkhead with a door.

Ukiyo's galley is to starboard at the bottom of the companionway steps. It is L shaped and has formica counters with wooden fiddles. Features include:

  • Whale 6 gallon water heater (new 2017)
  • Storage and cabinetry above and below
