Overview

This nicely appointed 40 ft Chung Hwa Oceania Trawler is currently available in Jacksonville, Florida. Her custom interior is absolutely gorgeous with teak and holly floors, teak cabinetry, and natural teak accents throughout. She has a generous two stateroom, two head layout including excellent usable space for entertainment, cruising, and storage. She makes a perfect live aboard or floating weekend condo. The aft deck is outstanding and yet another of her notable attributes' perfect for those sunset cruises or for sharing good times with friends. This Oceania Trawler truly offers it all. Previous owners have spared no expense to maintain and improve this vessel.  She is a must see, very clean, and well maintained yacht. 


 

Sleeps as many as eight in two separate staterooms, a convertible sofa in the salon, and a convertible dinette. Master stateroom is aft and down three steps from the salon. It features a walk around queen island berth, an abundance of built-in cabinetry storage, a private head with separate stall shower, 2 hanging lockers, and rich teak joiner work. The custom spreads and window treatments are fresh and tastefully done with Tommy Bahama and Sunbrella fabrics.


The roomy salon includes custom ultra-leather Navigator sleeper/sofa with drawer storage, leather chair and a fully functional lower helm The entertainment center includes a 26 inch flat screen television, DVD player, and stereo with CD  player. The highly customized salon décor includes custom carpets; custom insulated curtains and updated lighting package.   

 


Moving forward and down, the galley is located to the port side and the dinette is across to starboard.    

 


Further forward the guest stateroom includes one double and one single berth, hanging locker, and access to head. As with the rest of the vessel, the interior teak woodwork and updated soft goods show exceptionally well. All 12v lighting has been upgraded to state of the art LED.


This 40 ft Oceania is without a doubt one of the nicest customized trawlers on the market today. Be prepared to answer questions anywhere she goes. She's a black hulled head turner and her interior is to match. She looks like she'll do 25kts but cruises at 8.5kts at a fuel sipping 5gal/hr combined. Many extras as well as upgrades. This truly is a beautiful vessel, even better than the pictures!

1989 Chung Hwa Oceania Aft Deck

Absolutely one of her most outstanding features is the aft deck with teak floors. This area is very large with comfortable seating for six (6), recessed wet bar including installed racks for glassware, refrigerator, faucet replaced in 2012, cabinet storage, and fully enclosed aft deck providing protection from weather and covered access to the fly bridge, salon, and access to the transom swim platform. Custom made L-shaped sofa w/cushions and designer Sunbrella fabric.  The aft deck also has 110v and 12v outlets installed.

1989 Chung Hwa Oceania Salon

Upon entering from the Aft Deck the butterscotch colored L-shaped pull out sofa is to port. To the starboard are teak cabinets, entertainment, and a black leather sitting chair. Forward on starboard is the lower helm station with wheel, controls, gauges, electronics, and AC/DC distribution panel. There are windows to port, starboard, and forward offering a panoramic view as well as providing a well-lit and open feel. The salon is well appointed with cloth valences, drapes, and horizontal blinds.
