Overview

Using the FUJI COLOUR trimaran moulds for her construction, Francis JOYON built this fast trimaran and won the 2000 OSTAR EUROPE 1 Race.
After her race life, the boat received a lot of improvements to authorize her to be easily handled as a fast cruising trimaran but without losing her fantastic potential:
• A watch area has been created between the cockpit and the cabin
• An electric retractable bow thruster has been installed and a self-deploying system for the anchor has been integrated in the transom together with an electric windlass.
• The inside layout has been developed to accommodate 5 people to sleep. The folding table can offer 4/5 seats. In the galley corner, a sink with fresh water and a burner have been integrated. A manual toilet has also been installed.
The main characteristics that make this boat unique compared to the other Orma’s 60 are:
• A big volume in the main hull that make the boat more pleasant to cruise
• The ability to manoeuvre in a marina with the help of the retractable bow thruster
• A shorter mast (27.10 m instead of 31 m in the past) to make her easier to handle shorthanded
