83' Custom Fort Bragg Motor Yacht LAURA MARIE

PRELIMINARY LISTING


This 83' Custom Fort Bragg Motor Yacht, LAURA MARIE, sleeps up to (17) owners/guests in (7) belowdecks staterooms plus (8) crew in a new deckhouse addition; (2) enclosed full heads belowdecks plus a day head on-deck aft.

Arrangement

LOWER DECK FORWARD is accessed by stairs down (well lit and fitted with handrails) from the main salon to a PANTRY on starboard, entry to LAUNDRY ROOM with shower, basin, head washer, dryer and linen storage. FORWARD CABIN is fitted with two single berths and one double; three additional staterooms each offer two single berths - all with ample locker and drawer storage. Access to the ENGINE ROOM is through the laundry room, with steel doors separating the engine room, laundry room, pantry, forward cabin and entry to the lower deck passageway. AFT STATEROOMS are accessed via stairs from aft in the main salon (well lit and with good handholds) and they include a portside stateroom with two single berths, and two triple cabins aft - one at each side - each offering a double berth and a single. These aft cabins share a large enclosed head with tub and shower; starboard aft triple also features an ensuite basin.

MAIN DECK begins forward with a port side MAIN HELM followed by the MAIN SALON stretching aft; starboard side of the MAIN CABIN begins with an eating bar forward, followed by a DINETTE and then by the spacious UP GALLEY. Stairs to belowdecks are forward and aft amidships; finally aft in the main cabin is a door opening out to the substantial AFTER DECK with aluminum top and 1998 canvas enclosure with clear panels; NOTE large centerline table with hinged top to allow for LPG storage and connections; large lazarette hatches; aluminum ladder access to the TOP DECK. TOP DECK features a NEW deckhouse with port and starboard cabins offering four single crew berths each; (4) 19-cu.ft. deep freeze units; port and starboard cargo davits; and engineroom vents well shielded from water entry.

INTERIOR is clean and well arranged throughout; NOTE air conditioning; TV and VCR; Pioneer stereo system with CD player; HEADROOM reaches approximately 7'.

Galley

Impressive on deck galley is well arranged and fully equipped, including custom built cook station with LPG cooktop; 25-cu.ft. deep freeze unit; large griddle; extra large oven; deep-fat fryer; full sized refrigerator with freezer; Panasonic microwave; dishwasher; hot/cold pressure freshwater system with 30-gallon hot water heater; (6) 5-gallon LPG tanks in custom storage on the aft deck. NOTE: clothes washer dryer in the belowdecks ship's laundry; and (4) additional 19-cu.ft. deep-freeze units on the top deck.

Electrical

12vDC and 110vAC systems with panels - NOTE: that the vessel was fully rewired by Ellen Bee Superior Electrical of BC Canada in 1996/97. Yanmar auxilliary engine for Northern Lights genset was new in 1995; Heart interface inverter new in 1999; batteries include (6) Surette series 400 house plus one 8D starting and GNB 900 genset start - all with charging systems.

Deck

Ground tackle includes a Navy stockless 150-lb. main anchor and a Navy stockless 75-lb. anchor; 200' of 1/2-inch chain rode; est. 250' of 1-inch poly rode. Decks are steel covered with foam insulated non-skid. Foredeck is approx. 1-1/2' raised just in front of the house; bow has deck chairs and a large BBQ. Fishing equipment includes (2) custom fighting chairs; bait freezer; cockpit sink and a 3,000-gallon fish hold or storage locker in the lazarette.

Twin Cummins 505 V-8 diesel 225-hp mains; Twin Disc MG502 marine reduction gears are 2:1 ratio; total of (4) welded steel fuel tanks total 5000 USG reported capacity; Racor fuel filters; freshwater/keel coolers; 2-inch stainless steel shaft; wheelhouse control station; Waterjet bow thruster; Sea Recovery watermaker; thermal insulation; hydraulic wheel steering; dry stack exhaust; flame arrestors; air intakes; fuel shut-off valve; compartment venting; blower; engine-driven bilge pump plus (3) automatic/electric bilge pumps.

Construction

Hull is welded 1/4-inch mild steel plate faired with epoxy fairing compound and foam insulated. KEEL is 40' length with 42,000 lbs. of encased metal and concrete ballast. Decks are 3/16-inch mild steel with foam insulated non-skid. Cabin sides are 1/8-inch mild steel; cabin tops are fiberglassed plywood.

Any of owners' personal items left on board, including any items not listed in the specifications, are not included with the sale of the vessel.
