 Cockpit

 The second you step inside the cockpit of the 36 Grady White DOWNTIME you immediately feel the 13’2” beam.  The layout is exceptional and versatile.  She can accommodate a crew of hard core fishermen or multiple families for extended cruising fun.  Some of her highlights include:

    Helm Deck

    Two steps up from the cockpit bring us to the highly customized, climate controlled helm deck.  The customizations and attention to detail put into this area add great value and further separates DOWNTIME from any other Grady 360 Express available.  The starboard side guest seating has all been recovered.  This L shaped seating has a middle section that can drop down for face forward leg room and also an alternate table that can flip up for dining convenience.  One of the crown jewel upgrades aboard DOWNTIME is the custom Pompanette Platinum series companion seat on the port side helm deck that replaces a padded cushion.  Her other features include:

  • New Strataglass 2018 ($6,000)

    The helm deck features a full array of marine electronics including:

    Port side forward on the helm deck is the sliding door, which also has a screen that will lead us down to the climate controlled lower accommodations.  A new cabin AC unit was done in 2018.

    The layout down below is spacious and versatile.  There is a great deal of functional storage with no wasted space. As you come down the stairs you can’t help but notice the beautiful teak trim, teak and holly cabin sole and the tasteful décor. All of the fabrics and furnishings have been recently recovered and upgraded.

    The galley is immediately to port.   It features everything a shipboard gourmet would require:

  • Two burner electric cooktop
  • Microwave convection oven
  • Corian countertops
  • Ample storage drawers and sliding compartments for utensils, food and miscellaneous tiems.
  • UPGRADED Isotherm refrigerator and freezer drawers
  • Owner added custom nonskid material where applicable and a SEA EDGE to make storage where there was none prior

    To starboard is a full head with a custom teak baton floor.   The raised teak floor is both aesthetically appealing and functional for drainage.  Sink, corian counter top, Vacu Flush toilet, vanity, storage and a new light weight easy dry shower curtain round out the head highlights. 

    Stbd side midships is a large U shaped dinette. The dinette has been re-covered.  It lowers to create an additional large sleeping berth.  There is storage underneath the cushions, storage cabinets above and an owner customized “sea edge” added above the cabinets for additional storage space.

    Aft is a large sleeping area with custom Sunbrella covered mattresses.  There is a privacy curtain that can be drawn to separate from the salon.  Stbd side access panels smartly enable you to get to outboard ship systems.  The custom mattresses can be removed and the space used as a carpeted storage if needed.  Overhead rod storage has been added as well.  There is a sliding door neatly tucked in at the entrance of the stateroom that has been customized with storage shelves.

    All the way forward of the Dinette and Galley is the main raised twin sleeping berth.  It is open to the rest of the boat but does have a privacy curtain should it be needed.  There is also a beautiful glass partial partition with an etched design of a breaching marlin that lights up.  The trim work has all been re- covered and a custom Grady White logo was stitched into the fore peak bulkhead.  The custom Sunbrella covered mattresses can be moved to access yet another large storage area.  Port side there is a flat screen tv with direct tv programing and shelving.
