The Grand Banks 36 has a full keel semi-displacement hull and sharp bow providing the boat a sea-kindly feel. "No Rush" is also equipped with Naiad Stabilizers further preventing pitching and rolling offshore.
On deck, the high bulwarks and flared sides keep the crew safe and dry. The decks on both the lower and upper stations are teak planking which was sanded and completely re-caulked in 2014. The wide side decks and high, teak capped rails provides good security for the crew while moving about.
The upper deck is positioned nicely giving the helmsman and guests great views of the entire boat. There is plenty of guest seating on the upper station and the neutral colored upholstery is in excellent condition. Access to the upper deck is easy and safe with wide, teak steps and stainless handrails.
Other features on the outside of "No Rush" are:
Main Salon
Upon entering the salon from either cabin door, one notices the abundance of natural light and full surround views thanks to large windows all the way around. The interior is golden burmese teak and all cabin soles are handcrafted teak parquet. The galley runs fore and aft along the port side, and the helm is to starboard. Behind the helm is a cabinet with large opening lid and a U-line ice-maker underneath. Aft from there is an "L" shaped settee with and a table with double drop down leaves. Across from the settee, just aft of the port entry door is another small seat and and Flat Screen TV on a swiveling mount.
Owners Cabin Aft
On the Grand Banks 36 the master stateroom is aft and 3 steps down from the salon. As is the rest of the boat, the woodwork is flawless and it is apparent this boat has been very well taken care of. There is large, cedar-lined hanging/walk-in locker on the port side of the stairs with louvered doors. To starboard is a double berth with flat-screen TV mounted on the bulkhead. To port, there is a large single berth. There are 3 storage drawers below each berth. In between the berth there is a nice size 6 drawer chest that also acts as a step for accessing the private entrance to the aft deck. The head to starboard in the owners suite is large and functional with an enclosed shower.
Forward Cabin
Forward of the salon, the VIP guest stateroom has a V-berth arrangement, with lots of available storage drawers and cabinets. The area is well lit with natural light and there is an opening overhead hatch in the ceiling. The private head/and shower is roomy and also well lit with lots of counter space.
The galley runs fore and aft along the port side with lots of counter-top work areas and plenty of storage. Galley equipment includes:
