The Hatteras 40 Double Cabin is built on a solid fiberglass modified-vee bottom with a shallow keel and prop tunnels for stability. The enclosed flybridge (updated electronics, bimini, new cushions) and spacious aft cockpit (hardtop, teak table and chairs, Eisenglass enclosure, wet bar, dunning boxes, life sling) offers lots of room for owners and guests to enjoy.
A heavy boat with plenty of interior space for living, cruising, and entertaining. This is a two stateroom, two head, galley down configuration.
Entering the bright and airy main salon from the starboard companionway you are met with new carpeting and 6'5" of headroom throughout. The salon has tall windows, a flat panel TV, stereo, canvas carpet cover, custom wood dining bar to starboard and L-shaped sleeper sofa to port. The main salon is located amidships, between the two sleeping cabins.
The luxurious master stateroom is aft with an island Queen walk-around berth, ensuite head with shower to port and plenty of storage space - including a large hanging locker.
The forward cabin vee-berth has large, adult-sized, berths both port and starboard, two reading lights, two speakers, two fans, stowage drawers, and skylight.
Adjacent to the forward cabin is a head with separate stall shower and hinged panel covering the AC/DC electric panel.
The well-appointed down galley is to starboard and boasts plenty of storage and counter space while housing a 3-burner Princess stove/oven, full-size stainless steel sink, Princess Microwave, and a 2017 Vitrifrigo stainless steel 3/4 size refrigerator/freezer.
The engine room and bilge is accessed via the main salon sole. The engine bay is clean, dry, and well-lit with twin CAT Diesel engines, Onan 8KW generator, new water heater, new exhaust, dual air conditioners, new vacuflush plumbing, Racor fuel filters, and fresh water flush.
The major structure of this yacht is of molded fiberglass reinforced polyester. The exterior surface is painted, the decks non-skidded, and the bottom painted with anti-fouling paint.
The interior is wood paneling finished with varnish. The counter tops are covered with high pressure laminate. Exterior wood is finished with oil.
