Salon

The Salon features a high gloss polyester finish on the African Mahogany joinery that continues throughout the vessel’s interior.  Of the various woods and finishes Hatteras used this is the most sought after.

To starboard is a custom L shaped leather sofa with storage below with a rectangular burl wood and glass top coffee table in front.  To port are two upholstered club chairs flanking a cherry cabinet with ample storage and a Isotherm stainless steel (new 2012) icemaker within.  Three additional cabinets are behind the club chairs.  A fixed position 42” Panasonic plasma TV is forward to port facing aft for a great viewing angle from the sofa.

Large side windows are covered by duet blinds in recessed pockets.  The cool air from the air conditioning system is delivered via decorative valances port and starboard above the windows.

Also in this area are steps to the Galley/Pilothouse area, stereo speakers and 19 DC light fixtures, AC duplex outlets, a Whisperwall headliner, DC low level lighting behind Salon valances, smoke and CO detector, digital SMX air conditioning controls and a Xantech controller to access the yacht’s very complete music system.  Hunter Douglass aft door blinds are hidden behind the door valance until needed.

Of special note is the raised Hatteras electrical switching panel just inside the door to port.  No more selecting power sources while on your knees.  A matching cabinet to starboard offers three shelves of storage space.

Galley

The Galley is open to the Salon and three steps up to the starboard side.  The sole is Amtico vinyl strip flooring.  To starboard there is a pantograph style door to the starboard side deck.  The Galley itself is U shaped facing forward.  The equipment includes:

Seven varnished Mahogany steps to the Flybridge are just aft of the Dinette, with a clear Lexan hinged door to let in natural light.

Remarks

PANACEA was built with all of the popular options including:

• 1550 HP C-32 CATs with under 770 hours
• Twin 21 KW gensets
• ABT Hydraulic bow and stern thrusters
• Crew Cabin with swim platform access door
• Air conditioned Flybridge with Pipewelders hardtop
• African cherry high gloss joinery with high end stonework
• Preferred three cabin layout with crew option
• Bow and stern shore line inlets

Purchased mid 2012, her new owner treated her to countless improvements including all new soft goods and stonework, Fabrica Masai carpet throughout, handmade Vahallan wallpaper in the Heads and a detailed fitting out of all her systems.

The electronics received a $10,000 backend update where new Furuno Black Box processor, sounder module, transducers and networking were added retaining the Visable Furuno Nav Net hardware.

During yard visits in 2014 she saw bottom paint, cutlass bearings, prop speed added, a new gold boot top in awlgrip and perhaps the most valuable improvement any 64’ Hatteras can have, stabilizers.  After much research the Wesmar system with the new Triple Axis controller was chosen and installed.  The results were so dramatic the owner decided to upgrade to a 72’ Hatteras MY to cruise even further afield.  PANACEA represents the cleanest, best equipped and most “ready to go” Hatteras 64 ever to be offered for sale.  A bold statement?  Come see for yourself!

Exclusions

While every effort was made to list all pertinent included equipment aboard PANACEA, there are some personal belongings aboard.  Prospective purchasers should assume any item not specifically mentioned herein will not convey at closing.
