(2) Staterooms
(1) Full Head
(1) Head under V in Bow Stateroom
This is one of the nicest older Hatteras convertibles I have seen in a while. She is a two stateroom one head layout, a two head if you include the one under the V in the bow stateroom.
The current owner is number three and has had her since 2000. All of the interior wood has been painstakingly refinished and looks fabulous. The salon is open and airy with a feel of a much larger boat. The soft leather on the sofas and barrel chairs are an inviting place to lounge. The cream color looks sharp next to the darker wood work and brown carpeting. Down a few steps to port is a very well equipped galley. There is plenty of counter space to prepare both snacks or a full meal for your guests. With the custom drop down wall behind the feeling is very open and this also seconds as a serving area for a buffet or even as a sit down table. That wall easily goes up or down locks securely. The second stateroom is cozy and has a full sized berth, new lighting, and a flat screen TV. The head is just forward and has plenty of space to move around. There is a separate shower stall, a vacuflush head, sink, and storage above and below. The bow stateroom is huge. It has a built in sink and a toilet in the V. The new custom cushions are covered in a nautical print fabric that looks great even on its own. Once again the woodwork has been refinished and there is new lighting.
The cockpit has ample room to set up a bunch of chairs or go out to the canyons and fish all day. There are custom cabinets to store all your gear. The ladder to the bridge has wider than standard steps which make going up and down much easier. The bridge has a helm and companion seat side by side. The visibility is nice all around. To port is a long lounge with storage below. Just forward of the helm is another long lounge with storage below. All of the cushions have been replaced. Looking down to the bow you see the new 600pound davit system to haul your dinghy on the deck. There is a new windlass and anchor with foot operated switches.
All in all this is a very well cared for classic Hatteras Yacht. If you’re in the market for a vintage Hatteras you won’t want to miss this one. The current owner has his sights set to move up so NOW is the time.
