Overview

Lloyds classed and MCA compliant, NINKASI was built to a high standard and spec for global cruising in maximum comfort and safety. She has a successful charter history and has received the best in care and maintenance. Comprehensive repaint and refit completed March 2018 (Detailed list of refit work available upon request).

Description

NINKASI is a proven global cruiser of the finest quality.   Her masterful design is the careful result of long term collaboration between her original owner and the late, highly regarded Naval Architect Bill Langan with partners Sam Hunt and Tom Degremont.

The fundamental design brief called for a sophisticated, purposeful looking yacht with great sea keeping abilities and extended range for circumnavigation.  Langan Design Group took that directive and hit a home run achieving a 15-knot speed target utilizing a fast displacement single chine “V” bottom design, the best choice for performance, stability, and range:  2450 miles at 12.5 knots that can be increased to 4000 miles at an economical 10.5 knots.   Her ideal beam to length ratio and moderate draft gives this stunning yacht exceptional volume at 453 GRT.    Owner/guest comfort is further enhanced with “at rest” or “zero speed” stabilization.

Step inside and you immediately know she is no ordinary yacht, her décor and high concept design by Rhoades Young pleases the eye and senses at every turn.  The choice of woods, finish and fixtures are subtle and soothing.  The quality of the joinery work by Oldenberger, exceptional.

Simply put, NINKASI is the epitome of what an elegant, seaworthy, and efficient yacht should be.

Accommodation:
Full Beam on-deck Owners suite with study and true his/her ensuite bath.   Four additional guest  staterooms below deck.  Large exterior deck spaces perfect for Alfresco dining and entertaining.  A well-conceived layout that maximizes comfort for the Owner, Guests and Crew.   Generous machinery and technical spaces for a yacht of her size allow more efficient service and maintenance of systems.

Main Deck:
Classical symmetry, elegance, and flow defines the main deck guest spaces.  A central reverse spiral marble staircaseaccesses all three interior decks and blends beautifully.

Owner’s Suite:
Generous full beam stateroom with King sized bed offset to port and comfortable lounge area to starboard.  Separate his/hers ensuite bath are forward have spacious stall showers , marble counters and floors.  The his/hers dressing area, has ample drawer and hanging closet space.   The Owners study to starboard is elegantly furnished with desk, chairs and has a view.  Overal, the décor is beautifully wrought in light oak with a high-quality, durable finish that appears hand rubbed in the French style with perfectly matched stainless fixtures and soft fabrics.  Large windows to port and starboard allow plenty of natural light, unfettered views, and maximum privacy.  Satellite HDTV, DVD and high fidelity stereo  AV system.

Foyer:
Finished to same high standard of owner/guest areas, a marble floor matches the staircase and a guest Day head just aft of the Owner’s office.  Easy access to dining salon, staircase, galley, guest areas, and owners suite.

Guest Staterooms:
Both forward staterooms have two oversize single berths, with ensuite head and shower aft.  The after Staterooms have Queen sized beds with ensuite head and shower.  Great attention during the build was given to reduce sound and vibration in this area.

Galley:
Professionally designed with key input from the owner’s longtime personal Chef.  It is well equipped for 5-star service and efficient food preparation.   Well ventilated with plenty of natural light from large windows.  Ample cold and dry storage for long term cruising and charter operations.  Large counter space with Stainless finish where appropriate for durability, sanitation and ease of cleaning.  High-grade commercial equipment featured throughout.   A stewardess pantry is attached for easy prep, service, and cleaning.

Dining Salon:
Dining area is partially open to the Main saloon, with Shoji Pocket Doors  for complete privacy between the Dining and Main Salon areas when desired.  The formal dining table, a magnificent oval-round with burled veneer, fine inlays, Duncan-Fife like legs and a classic dental edge, is centered under a sculptured residential style chandelier that punctuates the understated elegance of the space.  Easily accessed storage for all China, Stemware, Silverware and settings.  Eight modern arm-less chairs  with an additional 2 chairs in storage for seating 10.

Main Salon:
Elegant décor, comfortable in every respect with a subtle Asian motif.  Silk Carpet over hardwood flooring with the carpet being removable when hosting cocktail parties.  Symmetrical seating on sofas either side and 4 easy chairs, teak French style double doors open to the aft deck.  Large windows port and starboard give the salon a bright and airy feel.

Main Deck Aft:
Has a seating area with two large chairs either side and a low cocktail table.  From this area, there is access up to the Bridge deck via a comfortable teak covered staircase as well as access aft to starboard for the passarelle staircase down to the garage beach club from port side.

Beach Club:
The transom door opens to form a “beach club” area for water activities and easy boarding of guests to and from the tender,  gym equipment in the covered area.  A hydraulic passarelle telescopes out for med mooring or down to the open transom door when open.

Crew Area:
Is accessed via stairs from galley forward and a water tight door that leads to guest accommodation foyer. Crew accommodation is quite spacious for a vessel of 42m with large dining settee, crew mess to port and enclosed galley to starboard.  There are four double cabins each ensuite with head and shower.  Two of the crew cabins have berths that can accommodate couples.  Dedicated Laundry Room to Stbd.  The Captain’s cabin is on bridge deck aft of the pilothouse.

Engine Room/Technical Space:
Aft of Guest accommodations and separated by soundproof bulkhead, the engine room has an enclosed, air conditioned control room and separate technical spaces.  The original owners' engineer participated in the build and assisted with designing the layout of the engine room to improve installation, performance, and serviceability of all systems and equipment.

Bridge Deck:
The Sky Lounge on the bridge deck utilizes the full beam of the yacht and has an impressive open feel. Tropical teak, white trim,  and custom built Indonesian cabinetry perfectly blend to create a unique, relaxing environment.   Large windows and fully retractable French doors open to create perfect flow to alfresco dining and seating areas.  The aft deck dining table can easily accommodate  8 – 10 guests on center-line and is under cover.   Staircases up to the Sundeck and down to aft deck are both to starboard.  Exterior built-in aft seating was added in 2016 to maximize guest comfort and storage.

Pilothouse/Bridge:
Exceptionally well designed with a state of the art glass bridge and ship’s office.   Wing doors/stations are located port and stbd.  Large settee aft of wheelhouse with two control chairs at the helm.

Flybridge/Sundeck:
The Sundeck was designed for lounging and relaxation.  A large Jacuzzi pool is located forward on this deck with great visibility to the sea and protection from wind by a glass windscreen.  Two observation seating areas are fwd and outboard of the Jacuzzi, flanked by large sun pads.    A large “U” shaped dinette with table and bench seating is located.

The radar/ antennae arch is built of carbon fiber for reduction of weight aloft and has anchor points for a removable canvas sun shade covering aft area of the deck.
