ACCOMMODATIONS

Satin varnished teak paneled traditional styled accommodation for 11 guests in four cabins plus six crew in three cabins forward.

Guest Accommodation:

Master cabin aft with twin beds with lounge and study

3 Double guests cabins that can easily be converted into twins - all with Pullman berths.

Very spacious accommodation providing excellent comfort and ideally suited for extended world cruising and navigation in colder climates.

The large saloon midships adjacent to the open plan wheel house is well illuminated in natural light from the large side windows and features a large L-shaped sofa for 8 guests to starboard which can also function as a dining area when the large hydraulically controllable teak coffee table is raised and extended into a dining table in a single movement.

To port there is a card table adjacent to the bar and the entrance from the aft deck and also access to the aft guest cabins and the day toilet.

Moving aft into the guest accommodation there is a day toilet to starboard and two identical twin cabins, each with Pullman berths. The twin beds can easily be converted into a queen size double bed by removing the center table. En-suite bathrooms with two sinks and shower in white coriander with gold plated fittings.

Further aft one enters the spacious master cabin via the private lounge adjacent to the dresser and a small study opposite next to the bathroom providing optimal comfort and privacy for the owner.

The master cabin is fitted with two large twin beds instead of a king bed size in order to provide optimal comfort when cruising. Plans have been made for an alternative design with a double bed in lieu of the current configuration. The large aft window offers ample natural light and the sheer size of the cabin is very unusual for a 42 meter sailing yacht. The spacious bathroom is bright and fitted with a shower and two sinks.

Forward of the saloon leads either up to the open plan wheel house or going down to the fourth twin guest cabin also fitted with a Pullman berth and en-suite bathroom.

Wheel House and crew accommodation:

The large wheelhouse follows the design of the rest of the interior and offers an excellent view and the large helm position and chart table area with comfortable seating is ideally suited for long passages and there is easy access to the deck from the side doors to port and starboard.

The spacious galley can either be accessed via the wheelhouse or directly from the saloon in order to provide the optimal service for guests.

Fitted with 5 fridges, 4 freezers and a large gimbaled commercial oven and an induction stove plus plate warmer and heating lamp the guests are assured excellent cuisine for any length of stay onboard.

As with the entire yacht there is tremendous storage space easily accessible.

Aft of the galley underneath the helm station there is the immaculate engine room with a finish showing the best the Dutch craftsmen and engineers can achieve further helped by the meticulous maintenance by the crew.

Forward of the galley is the large crew mess comfortably seating 6 crew.

The large captain's cabin is of a size normally seen on motor yachts and is likely to make most sailing yacht captain envious. Forward there are two comfortable twin crew cabins with en-suite facilities.

Deck and cockpit areas:

Passe Partout offers unobstructed deck space like few other sailing yachts ideally suited for sunbathing and storage of kayaks, lasers dinghies or even jet skis.

Passe Partout was among the first yachts featuring a fly bridge cockpit providing the best location when under sail or at anchor apart from providing privacy for the guests so often lacking on sailing yachts.

The well protected cockpit with the structural hardtop and removable vinyl side covers seats 12 guests at the two teak tables.

Forward of the main mast there is the semi-enclosed tender bay equipped with a hydraulic crane for easy launching of the large 6 meter diesel Novurania tender.

The passarelle can also-be lowered and used as a bathing ladder from the aft deck.

REFIT HISTORY

Passe Partout was refitted in 2003 at a cost of Eur. 850.000

In 2009 the yacht was refitted and painted at Jongert in Holland at a cost of Eur. 2.400.000 where the entire engine room was dismantled and the main engine and generators was totally rebuilt by MTU and all piping and equipment was dismantled and all machinery was either rebuilt or replaced.

COMMENTS

The immaculate Jongert Passe Partout was built for a true yachtsman who loved exploring new destinations and preferring being at anchor instead of berthed in a marina.

Having obtained solid experience from his two previous Jongerts, the owner appointed the current captain and Gunther Baumann, one of the leading Jongert project managers, to supervise the build, creating the best Jongert’s could build and the perfect yacht to explore remote destinations in ultimate comfort and self sufficiency.

Special features:

• Flybridge for optimal privacy

• Very large cockpits, aft deck and saloon designed for extended world cruising  in

   warmer and colder climates

• Large Novurania tender with diesel inboard engine and crane for easy launch

• Good cruising speed under motor

• Substantial storage space throughout the yacht

• Maintenance friendly engine room

• Folding keel avoiding loss of space in accommodation and with only 3.2 draft

  when folded

• Ample cold and storage space for extended cruising

• Well designed Tony Castro hull providing good performance

Passe Partout cruised the Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea and Black Sea as well as the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean towards New Zealand. The layout of interior and exterior spaces combined with the reversible heating/air-conditioning system make her well suited for high and low latitude cruising, in short a sailing explorer vessel.

Since her launch Passe Partout has been run with a no-cost-spared budget and been immaculately maintained both cosmetically and technically.

Passe Partout is ready for a new owner and another world cruise at short notice as she has always been.
