SPRAY is a very high-quality performance cruising Little Harbor 63 with an exceptional high level of interior luxury and a superb deck layout. With a well organized and spacious cockpit and automated Stoway mainsail furling and electric winches, SPRAY can be easily managed shorthanded. SPRAY has always had a full-time captain and she has been admired by the sailing community since her introduction at the 1989 Annapolis Boat Show.

In addition to exceptionally sound construction and an elegant interior, Ted Hood's 63' design offers classic exterior styling and a shallow-draft shoal fin keel with centerboard that improves on the wind performance when lowered. Board up, she draws 6’-8”, and with centerboard down, 13’. The seakindly displacement hull shape has a powerful sail plan that enables SPRAY to perform well in a wide range of conditions. SPRAY is tastefully decorated, giving an elegant feeling throughout. In addition to being fully air-conditioned, the interior is very well ventilated with hatches, dorade vents and opening ports.

From Forward:

GUEST STATEROOMS

Starting forward is a large foredeck hatch to access the chain and forepeak storage locker. Aft of the forward bulkhead is a generous shower, shared by both forward guest heads. Each of the two guest heads have Corian counters, opening hatches, extractor fans on timers and linen and medicine cabinets. The large guest staterooms are mirror images on port and starboard, both containing full double berths, hanging lockers and great storage. Each has a forward entry door into the ensuite head and aft door to the main salon. Nice touches include a built-in step for the berth, knick-knack shelves with proper fiddles, dorade ventilation, cedar-lined hanging lockers and independent climate controls for each cabin.

MAIN SALON

The main salon is full beam with the traditional Little Harbor hull ports that provide both light and a feeling of spaciousness. A formal dining area on starboard features seating for seven with a beautifully finished table and antique chairs. Built-in crystal and cutlery lockers line both sides of the forward bulkhead. To port is a sitting area with a large comfortable settee, a coffee table and raised-panel lockers with flat screen TV, computer entertainment/storage system and full bar. The teak and holly floorboards are high-gloss varnish with antique brass locking latches. The joinery work is flawless, with raised-panel teak cabinetry throughout. The headliner is bleached ash varnished wood strips, installed new in 2006.

NAVIGATION STATION

Aft and to starboard in the main salon is the outboard-facing navigation station with chart table and swing-out Windsor back chair. Adjacent to the nav station is the entrance to the captain's double cabin, with en-suite head and shower. Access to machinery inboard is gained through large insulated doors that also house custom tool lockers.

CREW CABIN

Aft of the nav station is a crew cabin, complete upper and lower twin bunks and separate head and shower. Access to the engine room through double opening panels is also found in this cabin. Opening ports and fans compliment this space.

GALLEY

Aft of the salon area and to port is the spacious galley and passageway leading to the aft cabin. The galley is both elegant and functional with plenty of storage and counter space, built-in three door cold plate refrigeration, a stainless Broadwater Brigantine stove and oven, Corian countertops and deep double stainless steel sinks, with both fresh and saltwater foot pumps. Additional equipment includes a built-in GE microwave oven, Europro toaster, custom knife rack and a custom spice rack.

MASTER STATEROOM

The master stateroom is aft and is one of the most impressive ever designed by Ted Hood. The cabin features a centerline queen berth and curved settees on either side. Oversized his-and hers-cedar hanging lockers and built-in bureaus provide storage typical of a larger yacht. The master head is to starboard with a separate stall shower and Lavac toilet. 30 gallon holding tank and Headhunter monitoring systems.

One of the special design features of each Little Harbor is the cockpit. There are openings in the coamings port and starboard, providing walk-in access and comfortable seating for ten, and dining for six. The generous size of SPRAY's cockpit is comparable to larger yachts. There is also a well-designed dodger and bimini combination (new, 2017) that shelters and protects the entire cockpit, even when sailing offshore.
