Luhrs has included everything but the tackle to make the 40 Convertible one of the most complete sportfisherman on the market. The 40 includes: bait prep and rigging stations, washdowns, rod holders, rocket launchers, and a complete package of Coast Guard-approved safety equipment. With every Luhrs, three generations of experience combine with modern engineering and production boat building techniques to provide one of the most affordable, full-featured fishing boats in the industry. From the bridge to the transom door, every piece of equipment and its placement is engineered to provide the best advantage on the water.

Engine Room

Cat 3126 Diesels rated at 420HP with only 170 hours (starboard) and 100 hours (port) since rebuild. Turbos and after coolers just removed and cleaned (July 2014).

Accommodations

As you enter the main salon there is a large L shaped settee to starboard which converts to a berth and an entertainment center forward which includes a full array of JVC stereo equipment with 5 disc CD changer and Toshiba flat screen TV. There is also a VHF radio. To port is another settee with storage below. All windows have wood blinds and there is carpeting throughout. Moving forward and down a step is the full Galley with two burner cooktop, microwave, refrigerator/freezer,coffee maker, stainless sink, ice maker, Corian countertops and abundant storage. The master stateroom is all the way forward with a queen island berth, hanging locker, drawer storage and built in TV. There is also a private entrance to the head. The guest stateroom is mid ships and to port with upper and lower berths and ample storage. The head which has two door access includes an enclosed shower, vacuflush toilet, sink and storage vanity.

To Dive For is really a beautifully maintained and equipped 40' Luhrs! She has just had a new bridge enclosure installed, had the bottom painted and underwater lights installed. The batteries were just replaced and a new battery charger installed. Other recent additions include new A/C compressor just installed, new Garmin electronics added in 2013, new marine stereo system with satellite radio/weather, new windlass and Fortress anchor and the entire boat has just been waxed along with the Rupp outriggers.
