This is the original 37' Merritt masterpiece that all latter manufacturers tried to copy but seldom got the same effect. The first time the term "Head Turner" was ever used at a marina it was due to this classic fisherman arriving. Hull #7 was born in the Merritt Yard in Pompano Beach. She just went through a 6 month revitalization bringing her back to show boat condition.
When boarding her from the cockpit you will encounter wide teak covering boards and a classic single step pedestal box to allow you easy footing to the all teak cockpit sole. This cockpit screams fishing magnet with her Murray Brothers fighting chair, cockpit helm station and boasts a large ice box and huge transom door. The day boat configuration allows for the full open easy access salon for serious fishing. You can also drop down the aft salon isinglass enclosure to allow your crew and guests all the comfort of a air conditioned comfortable place to rest or dine. When entering the salon to port you will see a large cushion over the engine box. Across to starboard is the raised dinette with drop down table for an additional sleeping area. Huge windows all around provide a 360 degree view. The center forward window opens for ventilation. The overhead is all high gloss teak with s/s hand rails. The sole is teak and holly with accent lighting. Both engines and generator are easily accessed through multiple hatches and removable cabinets.
Moving Forward 3 steps down into the crew /galley area you will see a beautifully arranged cabin. To port the galley features all teak cabinets and molded in sink. A refrigerator, microwave and abundant storage make meal prep easy. Off to starboard is a day berth with storage and TV.
Moving all the way forward to the companionway there are opposing storage lockers which are cedar lined. Forward of that is the enclosed head. There is generous storage, Raratin Head, anchor chain locker, and teak accents throughout.
Accessing the commanding Flybridge is made easy by the custom teak inlay ladder. The central helm with custom ladder back pedestal chair give the captain unobstructed 360 degree view. Port and starboard bench seats have storage underneath. The fiberglass hard top with new 3 sided enclosure protects you from inclement weather and sun.
