Overview

This 43' Nordhavn is Hull #35 of the N43 design.  Built for long range cruising with a range of 3000 nm, she is also an enjoyable and comfortable island hopper. Own a 2008 at a 2005 price!  Originally $680,000, she is now offered at $595,000 almost $100K reduction!

Easy to see - just 45 minutes north of the West Palm Beach airport.

Introduction

As a 2008 vessel, this Nordhavn is priced super attractively at the 2005 price point of $595,000.  She is priced this way for three reasons -

  • The Owner would like to sell her;
  • She is a 50~ boat for designed for the overseas market and the Owner knows it costs money for an overseas Buyer to come look at her and subsequently ship her to a foreign destination;
  • A domestic Buyer would want to upgrade her changing out all 50~ electrical devices to 60~ electrical, and that costs money.

So, here is your opportunity to buy a 2008 (originally listed at $680,000) at a more than excellent price with all of the above taken into consideration at her SPECIAL REDUCED offering price of $595,000.  Act now while she is still available!

Vessel Walkthrough & Accommodations

The Nordhavn 43 has proven itself as a true around-the-world cruiser that a couple can comfortably handle by themselves. Lots of live-aboard room including a mid-ship full beam Master Stateroom with walk around athwartship berth, ensuite Head and separate Shower. She was custom built for her very experienced owner, and then commissioned and delivered to her current original owner in December 2008. She has a very extensive equipment list from both active and passive stabilizer systems to bow thruster to custom HMC mattresses in both the MSR and Guest Staterooms. She was  hauled for new bottom paint and zincs in October 2013. Entering the Main Saloon from the spacious cockpit (with lots of storage, an opening swim platform door, and a molded-in swim platform), there is a built-in teak cabinet to port with lots of storage under, and fully equipped gourmet Galley forward. Across to starboard is the "L" shaped dinette with upgraded ivory ultra-leather and teak table. There are large windows on both sides which open with screens and accordion window shades. Forward on starboard opposite the Galley a teak cabinet with drop-in freezer. There is a teak & spruce sole with engine access hatches. Four teak steps lead up to the Pilothouse.

The Pilothouse has a full complement of navigation electronics, a high end Stidd Captain’s chair, a seating/sleeper berth and wide teak table. Both the AC and DC electrical panels are located in the Pilothouse and the PH has its own separate digital Air Conditioning. There is a port and starboard rugged aluminum dutch-style opening side deck access door with (4) dog-downs each for full weather protection.  The Splendide washer/dryer combo unit is located in the PH area to port.

Down 6 teak stairs on the starboard side of the Pilothouse to the Staterooms, Heads, and walk-in engine room. Each explained under their own Description Heading below.

Out the port side PH door, is access aft to stairs leading to the Flybridge upper deck area. Both PH doors lead to side decks forward to the waist-high Portuguese Bridge bulwark with a starboard opening door to the foredeck.

The Flybridge upper deck has two helm chairs, full-complement of electronics, steering and engine controls, dry stack, dinghy mast and crane, dinghy storage, and access to the paravane stabilizer booms and lines.

  • Manufacturer Provided Description

    In 1999, P.A.E.’s naval architect, Jeff Leishman, again made the boating world take notice with the successful launch of the innovative Nordhavn 40, a small, mighty ship that soon proved its remarkable capabilities. In 2002, a stock Nordhavn 40 completed a 26,000-mile circumnavigation in less than 25 weeks without incident or breakdown. Crewed by our P.A.E. staff, this proud little vessel served as the testing ground for a variety of evolutionary ideas. The Nordhavn 43 is the direct result of lessons learned on that challenging and very satisfying adventure. It also represents the culmination of what 25 years of quality boat building has taught us. Unlike other boat builders, we did not set out to design a 43-foot model to fit a marketing strategy. Instead we challenged ourselves to make a great boat, the Nordhavn 40, even better. Likewise, we knew that our Nordhavn 47 was already on its way to becoming one of our all time best sellers. But it was simply more boat than many people wanted or could afford. A careful comparison of both the 40 and 47 formed the design parameters for a new model. It just happened to result in a 43-foot long boat
