Overview

Rob Humphreys designed the Oyster 54 to replace the successful Oyster 53, giving his new design a longer waterline, slightly more sail area and a lighter displacement, all of which combine to enhance her sailing performance. Similarly, broader stern sections further improve downwind speed. Testament to the design, Sara Blue V has often competed in the Oyster regattas where she has held her own against the larger yachts and been awarded first, second and third places on numerous occasions.

Sara Blue V is also a proud, second-time winner of the Concours d’Elegance at the recent 2016 Oyster Palma Regatta. She is a stunning looking boat from any angle with her sleek curved deck saloon and modern rollover bulwark.  Sloop rigged with electric in-mast furling and furling headsail, she offers simple push button sailing. Below decks, the increased volume aft of the 54 design is translated into greater accommodation space and a superb owner’s stateroom.  Her ample accommodation plan sleeps six in three cabins with hand finished cherry joinery that adds a touch of luxury.

Highly specified with around £250,000 worth of optional extras above standard, Sara Blue V is still in her original ownership and has been professionally maintained since her launch in 2010.  Her recent yard period with Oyster Palma added another €30,000 of care to Sara Blue V including a rig haul and check, new standing rigging, new North Sails and new canvas work.

Sara Blue V, is truly a fabulous, family cruising yacht, is transatlantic ready and definitely worth viewing.
