Overview

The Oyster 66 is a remarkable design which, when you consider the deck space and interior accommodation should be several feet longer!  Designed to accommodate up to ten in five cabins, there is plenty of room for the owner, family, guests and, if required, crew.
The raised saloon, which offers panoramic vision whilst seated is a real feature of the 66, which also permits excellent engineering access below saloon.  The 66 is a well proven world cruising yacht, some have circumnavigated and others successfully cruised in tough conditions in the Antarctic.
Strong, tough and capable, the 66 should be on any sailor’s shortlist if they are considering a large and comfortable world cruising yacht.
Goodwinds has benefited from having full time crew.  She features traditional and hardwearing teak joinery below decks where she sleeps ten in five cabins.  Hydraulic furling to the main, genoa and staysail make sail handling easy.  A fully documented and comprehensive maintenance schedule, with last refit completed in January 2015, which included a new generator, hydraulic re-fit, full servicing of the engine, new domestic batteries, new Navtex and GPS, new saloon upholstery, new shower and tap fittings, new curtains, as well as re-varnished sole boards, new spotlights, hull polish, steering check and seacock service.  Her next owner will have a ‘turn-key’ yacht. EU VAT paid.

OWNER’S COMMENTS
We bought Goodwinds some five years ago to explore the Mediterranean in comfort and safety.  We have had some great family sailing and we have very fond memories of Sardinia, Corsica, the Balearics, Sicily and the Italian coast.
In 2013 we took her across the Atlantic and cruised the Lesser Antilles.  She has proved to be a fantastically reliable, sturdy and fast cruising boat.  Over the last five years she has been expertly maintained by our full-time skipper and much work has been carried out.  We have updated the electronics, we have recently replaced the sails, and the mast and rigging were serviced and largely replaced in 2012.
She really is in great condition and ready for new adventure.  We are buying a slightly bigger boat to cope with the demands of the family and we're hoping to explore the Pacific.  We will be very sad to see her go.
