Introduction

Fortuna is a bespoke yacht that has many features not usually seen on a vessel of this size. The aft deck has full sliding glass doors which pocket away when the climate is warm. The stern has a very large swim deck, excellent for diving, boarding, or sunning. Because of the houseboat style design, the boat deck is enormous and allows for Al fresco dining in comfort, jacuzzi spa for 6 and plenty of space for tenders and toys. Fortuna has long range capability, shallow draft, all the bespoke features of a large yacht in a compact 100' size. A proven vessel that has traveled from Alaska to Nova Scotia. A complete interior refit, paint, electronics and wiring in 2014.

Accommodations

FORTUNA sleeps six / eight in three cabins aft, all with ensuite heads. The two twin bed guest cabins have Pullmans, creating the ability to sleep three in each cabin as required.

Crew quarters sleep as many as six in three cabins with two full head showers. However, for all practical purposes, four people run FORTUNA quite adequately.

FORTUNA’s interior is a finely finished, light anigre with makore and maple floors throughout and accents of polished granite for counters.

An innovative and unique feature of FORTUNA is her infinitely functional aft deck, which, with sliding side doors, can be fully enclosed and heated, air conditioned or left totally open.

FORTUNA's pilothouse is a command center with fully integrated equipment, from the real time Sea Space satellite weather computer, to its Transas chart plotter and forward/side scanning sonar. The captain can oversee all of this and have a CPlath follow up joy stick, from a custom Stidd chair, at his fingertips. FORTUNA's flybridge sports a new, sturdy fixed Bimini top that covers the forward bridge back to the mast.

The flybridge is very large with a helm position forward, two dinettes port and starboard aft, wing controls midships, a sunpad area on the centreline aft with a big hot tub under it, tender and toy storage all the way aft. There is an aft control station on the aft deck, plus a forward control station on the foredeck that is interchangeable with a small cocktail table.

Crew Quarters (3)
Forward – shower with head to port and sink adjacent. Plenty of storage. Escape hatch above in shower

2 berths on either side of the companionway – (portside) is a raised with storage underneath, hanging locker aft. TV and full set of drawers. Pocket door (starboard) side, lower berth with storage outside, sliding enclosure for privacy lockers outboard, TV.

Aft Captain’s cabin and overflow guest large berth to port with hanging locker forward, drawers under berth, large desk aft, large shower, sink and head, WC

Bosch Axis washer and dryer in Aft companionway.

Up 10 steps to the Wheelhouse helm station with single Stidd chair (electric) joystick.

L-shaped seating for 6 with large table aft of the helm station. Drawers throughout, under seating in step. Nav station to starboard with chart table and drawers.

Privacy doors are cleverly hidden and fold out to enclose the wheelhouse. 2 side doors.

Helm station storage is more than ample

Niles entertainment remotes throughout including wheelhouse.

Down 2 steps into the Galley, the day head is located to starboard with an open galley adjacent. There is a pocket door to enclose this area as well as folding doors to enclose the counter spice area. This is an area that works well for casual or formal entertaining. There are 2 chairs that nest outside of the Galley countertop from the salon.

Forward in the Galley is a Viking refrigerator/freezer with icemaker. Next to the fridge is a Wolf stovetop, Wolf oven and a Viking microwave. Next to the stove is a granite top that raises electrically. The entire galley counter is finished in a beautiful multicolor granite. The sink is to port and has a large window over it with wood blinds for privacy. There is a Viking dishwasher to the right of the sink for easy loading.
Plenty of drawers for storage and a pantry adjacent with cupboards above.

The salon has a very nautical look with fine wood throughout, makore and holly wood sole, coffered headliner and wood blinds. There is a wood spiral staircase leading to the Flybridge. The windows are large with three on each side and floor to ceiling sliding doors aft. A writing table is builtin aft of the staircase with a banquet adjacent. Aft and on either side are built-in TV and entertainment equipment cabinets. Lots of storage under each unit.

There is a privacy curtain that can be pulled across the sliders at night.

The Aft Deck – is highly customized with triple pocket sliding glass doors on either side. A wet bar is forward to starboard and has sink, icemaker and glass storage. Adjacent is a twin bar area with a refrigerator, 4 stacked drawers and more glass storage.

This room is air conditioned, has enormous aft u-shaped seating with two split tables that can be raised or lowered, four wicker chairs completing a seating arranged for up to 12 people. The deck head is painted brilliant white and aft enclosure is strataglass with custom texaline pull down shades on either side.

Amidship and down a few steps are the Guest Staterooms and Master Bedroom. The stairs lead down to a foyer/companionway with a utility closet to port and a large storage locker to starboard. Forward and amidship is the Master Stateroom. A large King size bed is centerline with head to starboard and closet to port. There is a centerline TV built-in, a makeup table on one side and a desk on the other.

Two guest cabins are aft of the master, both of which have ensuite shower and head: hanging lockers and a game table with hideaway seating is cleverly concealed under the berth. The port side stateroom has a double berth and very good storage areas as well as a hamper in the WC.

The casual layout of the open galley can easily and quickly be “formalized” by adding a partition in the pass through area, fully enclosing and isolating the galley from the salon.

FORTUNA represents the epitome of pedigree, from her sea kindly deep V Hunt hull in rigged aluminium construction, to world class standards by one of American’s finest builders. Structural integrity and fine design are ideally complimented by a stunning interior featuring hand crafted woodwork accented by fine granite work and beautiful fabrics.

With just six foot draft, and a keel to protect her props, FORTUNA can safely negotiate areas where other yachts of her size cannot go. Her Hunt hull provides her sea keeping abilities not available to even smaller yachts.
