Overview

This 2008 Paramount 26 SportFisherman is a gem in the center console market. The boat is a great fit for the fisherman or the all-around boater seeking performance and quality in construction. Her proud and meticulous owner has kept her clean and regularly maintained; the boat is in pristine condition. She has been lift-kept or trailered and doesn’t have bottom paint.

The deep-V hull is based off of the original Cigarette and has 24-degrees deadrise angle at transom.

This 26 SportFisherman was the last 26-foot hull built by Paramount Powerboats. Paramount has a loyal following; they are loved for their speed, dry ride and ability to handle choppy conditions. They were proudly made in Dania, FL.

Walkthrough

The impressive lines of the Paramount hint at the boat’s reputable performance. The deep V hull, with reverse radius chines, allows the boat to perform admirably offshore. The hand-laid fiberglass is 24-layer thick at critical stress points, foam floatation and fiberglass inner-liner for further durability. The high gunwales ensure a very dry ride. This boat powered by 450-horses can reach speeds of 55-knots, and cruises comfortably at 35-knots. The owner’s care can be seen in the shine of the gel coat. The hull color is sea mist-green. When including the outboard engines and engine bracket the boat reaches a length of 30-feet overall.

The twin Evinrude 225HP E-TECs have 1044 hours; they have been used regularly and responsibly. The propellers still have the factory shine. The engines were fastidiously maintained by arguably the best Evinrude mechanic in the country, according to the owner.

The cockpit has plenty of space for fishing. 35-gallon live well is on the back of the leaning post. There are two large fish boxes on either side of the live-bait-well. Rod storage is under the port and starboard gunwales. There is a total of 12 rod-holders, 4 on each gunnel, and 4 aft of the leaning post. Two JL Audio marine speakers sit on either side of the cockpit, under the gunwale.

The center console sits under an aluminum T-top half tower. The canvas was newly replaced in January 2015. The leaning post with backrest are tri-colored in tasteful neutral tones with accent piping. The helm electronics are neatly displayed upon a polished black plexiglass dashboard; they include a Garmin GPSmap 545, Raymarine DS600X FishFinder, iCommand Digital Displays and a Fusion MS-IP700i multi-media marine stereo system, which includes satellite radio, iPhone/iPod/Android dock capabilities. A JL Audio amplifier increases the output and two more JL Audio marine speakers are one either side of the center console (4 JL Audio speakers in total). Door access and a porta-potti is on the starboard-side of the console.

The forward deck has plenty of storage and seating. There’s a cushioned seat just forward of the center console with an insulated cooler underneath, which is removable. The cushions are in the same tri-color theme as the leaning post at the helm. All cushions are in great condition. There are two cushioned bench seats with storage under, on port and starboard. In between there is a large storage compartment. Both the benches and the coaming bolsters, which double into backrests for the benches, are in a warm light gray, fitting the tri-color theme as well. At the bow is a storage locker and top-opening anchor locker.

The trailer is dual tandem axle by Everything Marine USA. Its max capacity is 7,000lbs. The 14-inch tires are in good condition.
