Overview

The Riviera 43 Open is the latest in flybridge design from Australia’s most awarded luxury boat builder. This new model incorporates great function and style within a supremely comfortable, sea-kindly hull.  For propulsion, the proven Volvo Penta Inboard Performance System (IPS) has allowed designers to create a fresh accommodation layout.  With all major engineering positioned well aft, enormous gains are made with beam-width space amidships.  Cruising at 24 knots with a top speed of around 31 knots, the 43 Open Flybridge has a range of 340 nautical miles from its 476-gallon tank.  Not available for sale to US residents while in US waters.

Accommodations

The indoor opens to the outdoor between the cockpit and salon, by a large sliding glass door, awning window and mezzanine lounge seating.

As you enter the main salon, to port there is a two-seater lounge, tucked up to the bar and entertainment console which can slide forward to join the main group - a large dinette with a teak high/low table on the starboard side. Forward is the galley which is open and light filled, intergrated for entertaining yet slightly tucked to the side for accessing the staterooms and heads below.

Below, the Master Stateroom with a queen island bed is ringed by drawers and cabinets and a full length cedar-lined wardrobe. Access to private ensuite head with full shower and designer sink and fixtures. Though almost in the center of the hull, the Guest Stateroom is all air and light. Opening portholes on either side and an innovative large skylight, just under the windscreen above, providing surprising illumination and ventilation. Twin Volvo powerplants are situated aft, which allows for the large accommodations - Fuel and water are situated centrally athwartships, providing ballast and balance as well as an effective sound barrier to the sleeping areas.

From the cockpit, teak tread stairs on the port side lead to the flybridge. Gas strut suspension helm chairs with the position of both slightly staggered to give the helmsman full elbow room and direct access to the cockpit stairs. Forward of the helm is plush weatherproof seating which gathers around a fiberglass with Corian insert table. Just opposite, a two-seater lounge adjoins the wet bar with fridge.
