Overview

Sophia is a 2008, 85' flybridge motor yacht, beautifully designed by well known Bill Dixon and solidly built by the Royal Denship Shipyard in Denmark. Her spacious and luxurious accommodation accommodates 8 guests in 4 cabins. Her large salon is great for family or corporate entertaining and has a dining area next to the enclosed galley. Mechanically she is close to new.

The lounging area is comfortable and recently equipped with beautiful contemporary designer furniture.
A state of the art entertainment system provides a variety of video and audio entertainment.

The interior has been substantially made over in 2015/2016 and includes a Lantic entertainment system upgraded to the latest spec with a 10TB Lantic server, UHD monitors with remote controls and Airplay functions fitted in the salon and all cabins.  Complete new upholstery. 

The galley and flybridge appliances have all been upgraded to Gaggenau and include a wine fridge.

New carpets (same as in the White House) have been fitted throughout and bespoke interior and deck furniture complete the refit works.

A complete  hull survey was done in March 2015 when she was stripped to her gelcoat. Engine has been serviced by Caterpillar (engine hours only 310!) and an oil analysis was done May 2016.

INTRODUCTION

A top class luxury motor yacht

Sophia is a luxury motor yacht beautifully designed by world famous designer Bill Dixon. Built in 2008 by Royal Denship Shipyards in Denmark, this yacht has been manufactured to the highest of standards in every regard. Further enhancing her value and specification is that her owner, a meticulously pilot, has lived on her for the past 3 years so she is working very well and is well ahead of her service plans.

Her spacious and luxurious accommodations, which were refitted in 2015/2016 accommodate eight guests in four luxury cabins each with full ensuite. A large open-plan saloon with expansive windows is superb for private or corporate entertaining, with a spacious dining area beside an encloseable state of the art galley. Her lounging area is very comfortable and has been recently furnished with high-end contemporary accents.

The Yacht Entertainment System (YES) is by Lantic Entertainment Systems and was upgraded by Lantic engineers during refit to the latest specs. This includes: 10TB Lantic Media Server, UHD monitors throughout, surround sound, Airplay functions along with additional Apple TV’s in the salon and all cabins. A custom Lantic App works on iOS or Android devices allows for individual control of entertainment, lighting and climate control systems. The galley and flybridge feature new Gaggenau appliances and granite worktops.

Outside, the enormous flybridge features a spa, currently covered by cushions, other day beds and sofas, a powerful music system, BBQ. A large hydraulically operated swim platform and ladder provides great access to water sports and doubles as a tender lift. Below, separate and privately accessed stern crew quarters accommodate two persons with integral galley and head.

Sophia boasts unusually low hours on her engines - 343 each - and on the generators as do all of the yacht's systems. The CAT C32 engines produce a top speed of 32 knots with comfortable cruising at around 20 knots. Safety features include a large capacity automatic emergency fire/bilge system and Sophia is fully CE certified. The computer Lantic Yacht Control System (YCS) operates all systems with full monitoring, diagnostics and alarm.
