Overview

Wood-free fully composite construction for light weight and structural rigidity. Legendary Carbon-Kevlar hull layed up with vinyl-ester resin for maximum strength. If you are in the market for an offshore fishing boat, do not overlook this boat. The fit and finish of this Seahunter is superb: Quality hardware was used throughout, gelcoat and fiberglass quality was top notch, aluminum pipe-work is egregiously overbuilt. This is a boat that was built with the same cutting edge methods Seahunter uses today during a time when quality construction won over quick build time.   The boat shows better than most boats ten years newer and was extensively refit in 2017 for long range fishing in the GOM and Bahamas. Ready for anything - from a boat parade to a 500 mile roundtrip. Owner had an unexpected opportunity to move to a larger cabin style boat for overnights so this one must go.

Boat Specifications

-34.5' Long, 9'10" Beam
-Aggressive entry tapers to a sharp 24.5 degree transom deadrise
- lbs. with engines, empty fuel
-Wood-free fully composite construction for light weight and structural rigidity. Legendary Carbon-Kevlar hull layed up with vinyl-ester resin for maximum strength.
-Triple 2017 Suzuki DF300AP Outboards w/450 hrs. Engines are fly-by-wire. Includes spare set of props mounted on Birdsall prop holders. Steering was also upgraded to power-assist, tilt helm, and Edson-Style wheel and Seastar cylinders were rebuilt.
-Fuel economy varies based on load. Light, you can expect an easy 1.4-1.6 mpg at 40-45mph depending on seas. Slow down to 30 and you'll see 1.6-1.8. Fuel economy loaded (full fuel, 100g bladder on deck, 1000+ lbs of ice up front, 150 lbs of ice, bait, drinks in another cooler, 100+ lbs of fishing lead, dozens of rods, 5 guys and their overnight gear) you can expect fuel consumption to be .3 mpg less than light across the board.
-Boat can plane at slow enough speeds for HS Wahoo trolling while maintaining good fuel economy comparitive to other similar-sized boats.
-Boat is propped for performance under heavier loads and rough sea handling - this is typical of a fishing boat. With this current setup, top speed is around 62mph light, 56mph loaded.
-350 gallons of fuel capacity in three seperate tanks (100g saddles, 150g center). Tanks are 1/4" Aluminum. All fuel senders replaced in 2017 and analog fuel gauges changed to a digital Blue Seas fluid level instrument. Fuel selectors replaced in 2018 along with a custom fail-proof manifold system that was added to accomodate a fuel bladder connection above-deck. 100 gallon fuel bladder is available to increase total capacity to 450 gallons.
-40 gallons freshwater capacity
-8 gallons waste capacity
-Under-deck storage: 3 large fish holds, 2 storage lockers, oversized console pan for dry storage + console shelf to keep spare parts and tools.
-Above-deck storage: 3 large livewells, large drink cooler/dry storage on front of console, storage in leaning post, storage under helm seating.

Electrical Refit 2017

-Console was completely rewired in 2017.
-All rocker switches and breakers were removed and replaced with a Bocatech backlit switch panel with integrated breakers that also house the flat-mounted electronics.
-5 new AGM batteries in 4 seperate and isolated banks (house bank and 1 for each engine) were installed with a BEP cluster to isolate house loads from engines and vice versa. The BEP cluster makes battery selection easy, with each engine and house bank on a dedicated switch. The cluster allows engines to charge house batteries when running but does not allow house batteries to drain engine batteries when not running. There are also emergency parallel switches that can be used in the event of a battery failure.
-New 4 bank battery charger installed.
-Lenco trim tab actuators were removed and replaced with Bennett Bolt Actuators (lifetime warranty).
