Overview

 

CONSTRUCTION

 

Composite hull and deck  by SP Technologies Drawing Booklet made in epoxy matrix under vacuum bag technique.

Large use of kevlar and carbon give  high mechanical and shock absorbing properties, while close cell foam core adds strength to the construction  give thermal and acoustic insulation.

The epoxy vacuum bag construction also guarantees an osmosis free underwater hull.

All the bulkheads, including partition ones, are built in composite and fastened to hull and deck under vacuum bag technique.

The result of this construction method is a very strong monolithic structure where each part of it contributes to the overall strength of the yacht, yet benefiting the quality of lightness, peculiarity of a composite construction.

KEEL and RUDDER

 

12 Tons total ballast torpedo bulb and fin 3,90 Mt draft. The ballast bulb is in lead casting with antimony attached to a steel fin. Keel bolts are of high-tensile stainless steel. Steel fin is epoxy coated.

A high aspect ratio spade rudder is built in composite on a carbon  free rudder stock.

Upper rudder bearing: Speedwave 180 mm Series 15

Lower rudder bearing: Speedwave 260 mm Series 20

The rudder stock is working on two self-aligning bearings which allow the rudder to work smoothly even when heavily loaded.

 

TEAK

 

Cockpits floor, seats, deck coaming and all deck are covered with longitudinal teak planks of 8mm thickness, 40 mm wide, 3 mm wide black rubber deck seals and margin frames in best yacht style including the deck cabin top surfaces.

The toe rail is  made in teak, for the whole length of the deck.

 

STEERING SYSTEM

 

Twin custom composite pedestal with roller bearings and twin wheels 6 double spokes carbon made 1100 mm diameter . Steering sprockets  have 13 teeth and a pitch diameter of 79mm. Size 60 belt is the steering cables in Kevlar, 850mm diameter, twin grove quadrant in (E Glass/Kevlar) Composite.

WINCHES

 

Deck gear is fitted to the deck with stainless steel through bolts, carbon backing plates, washers and nuts.

The deck is fitted with the following deck Harken winches :

N.2 1110 STA HY  primary winch three speed, self-tailing hydraulic, aluminum drum.

N.2   980 STA secondary winches two speed, self tailing, aluminum drum.

N.2   66.3 STA HY halyard winch, three speed self tailing hydraulic.

N.1   66.2 STA HY halyard winch.

N.2   48.2 STA  top lift/foreguy winch, two speed self tailing.

 

 

 

 

STEMHEAD

COMPANIONWAYS, PORTHOLES AND HATCHES

 

All the accessories has been  mounted with stainless steel bolts and nuts.

The sliding central cockpit companionway is built in 15 mm grey polycarbonate and mounted on stainless steel tracks, aft edge in teak handle shaped.

The removable washboard is constructed from GRP and wood with stainless steel frames, sliding tracks and drainage. Recessed boxes on sides of the main companionway. Rondal Custom flush hatches with C. E. approval, teak frame, acrylic, all hinged type :

PULPIT, PUSHPIT AND METALWORK.

30mm. diameter tube stainless steel pulpit with opening upper frame and supports for navigation lights.

N°18 tapered stainless steel stanchions  h.700mm with through deck composite rod stanchion bases bonded to hull/deck. Stanchion fits tightly over the rod with fastener secure.

The dodger is to fold down into a partially recessed stowage in the coachroof with a canvas cover, so that when folded away it is completely covered and inconspicuous.

INTERIORS

GENERAL

Internal furniture has been  realized according to the highest marine carpentry standards and  built in  foam sandwich material teak veneered and laminated teak, faired and varnished in polyurethane semi-gloss finish.

All edges and corners are faired to consistent radius and made ample use of laminated and solid teak for door frames, bulkhead  frames, lid  edges, handrails on roof sides, fiddles on counters and shelves, bunks edges.

The teak used  is blond-streak type.

The locker doors is  with  ventilation grill and solid wood made. Roller bearing slider on all drawers and  top quality push-lock on drawers and locker door.

Stainless steel guards to all the bases of the door frames.

Dining and coffee table in saloon  in teak veneered foam cored composite and solid teak on edges.

Galley counters is in white color Corian , head counters and basins are laminated in carbon with gloss clear finish , the remaining horizontal surface is covered with 3-mm. teak veneered marine plywood.

All screws, bolts, staples and anything else used in fixing fittings are made of stainless steel and the wood screws is counter-sunk, crosscut, tallow finished.

All handles inside, as well as door and locker hinges, door stops and porthole closures, clothes rails and coat hooks, locker snaps, eyebolts, the galley grab rail and all other internal metal accessories and fittings are made of stainless steel .

All wardrobes are fitted with automatic interior lighting.

 

VARNISHING

All teak surfaces  are treated with at least five thick coats of a bi-component poliurethane build up and mono-component varnish, semi-gloss finished.

White surfaces  finished with a coat of semi-gloss mono-component paint.

 

 

 

FLOORBOARD

Foam core plywood sandwich floorboards with teak and holly stripes veneer, opening lids in order to easily reach the sea cocks, handle with suction cap to open the floorboards.

The floorboards are completely surrounded.

Floorboard and gratings in the showers and heads are made of plain unpainted teak.

 

CEILING

Boltaflex ceiling panels with washable vinyl covered, fastened with tight velcro and singly removable, except for the sail locker and lazarette where the inner skin of the deck is faired and painted without covering panels.

 

Solid teak wood made hatch coaming inside with portholes  same profile in  transparent epoxy paint.

 

Pull out blinds and mosquito net for all hatches are fold up into the headliners , mosquito screen for port lights.

Two companionway ladder are in composite and titanium pipe.

 

ACCESSORIES

Tecma electric vacuum toilets system  installed in all heads.

Crew manual Jabsco .

Carbon basins  (see counter top finish),

Stainless steel sinks under Corian mounted in the galley.

Grohe taps and fittings, mixer for sinks and showers.

AUXILIARY PROPULSION

 

GENERAL

Main engine room is acoustically insulated with sound seal leaded sheets covered inside with Alucobond panels, total available thickness 70mm. Bulkhead between the Buyer cabin and the lazzarette has  insulated like E.R.

 

Cockpit sole is removable (bolted and sealed with silicon) for engine disembarking.

E.R. portholes and door with hinged aluminum frames, double gasket and pressure lock handles. All machinery is mounted on vibration damper.

 

E.R. soles is in anodized light aluminum sandwich.

In way of valves, seacock, filter or machinery floors are hinged to make easier inspection.

 

Independent bilge compartment, internal lighting with main switch in way of the access, forced ventilation via two adequate blowers and duct for air inlet and outlet. Watertight and fire proof through bulkhead fittings for wiring and pipes.

 

Colored plastic labels indicating functions, flow direction and safety advise are fixed at each valve in all systems (diesel, fresh and salt water, bilge, grey and black water, refrigeration, air conditioning and hydraulic).

 

Watertight and fireproof through bulkhead fittings for pipes and wire must be used on watertight bulkhead and E.R. bulkhead.

 

MAIN ENGINE

The main engine auxiliary propulsion unit is YANMAR 4LH-STE continuous rating output at crankshaft: 140 kW (190hp) @ 3100rpm, max output at crankshaft: 169 kW (230hp) @ 3300rpm alternator 12v 80 a, C type instrument panel, 6m extension wire harness.

 

Aquadrive flexible engine mounts.

 

Gear box HURTH HSW 800 A 2 gear ratio forward 2.85/1, back 2.85/1, down angle: 8°

direct mount.

Stainless steel Aquamet shaft  coupled to the engine via an Aquadrive Uni-Cardan 20480 omocinetic coupling with thrust bearer. Stern tube with deep sea seal with replaceable seal. Stainless steel P-bracket foil shaped. Three blades Gori propeller. Zinc on the shaft line.

 

Engine and gearbox control by clutch-throttle remote control Morse type SL3 with Spinlock plate and lever located at the helm in a recessed protected box in the aft cockpit port side.

Electric panel located at the helm in a recessed protected box in the aft cockpit stbd side.

 

EXHAUST PIPE

Independent seawater intake and water filter.

Raiser for water injection, water siphon breakers, GRP water trap with emergency drain valve, muffler, water separator and pipes to be C.E. approved.

Gas exhaust on hull side under transom.

 

DIESEL SYSTEM

Two deck fillers with winch handle sockets. Plastic tank ventilation boxes discharging outboard.

N.4 Stainless steel fuel tanks having a total capacity of 1.840 liters, with inspection hatches and internal anti-swashing baffles, Tank tender  (level sensor  and 1 gauges).

N.1 Stainless steel fuel day-tank180 litres. Gianneschi & Ramacciotti ACB 61-R fuel transfer pump 20 l/minute with timer, and floating switches alarm in day tank.

Manifold for tank selection. Adequate double Racor centrifugal fuel filter with water presence alarm and vacuum-meter between tanks and day tank.

Stainless steel (Parker) fuel pipes with flexible coupling on engine and generator.

 

STARTING SYSTEM

Main engine battery:                                     150 Amp. 24 V.

COCKPIT CONTROL PANEL

Yanmar C type instrument panel and Morse control both to be fitted in a proper recess in stbd side of aft cockpit.

Diesel level indicators Tank Tender installed near the tanks suction manifold.

 

FIREFIGHTING SYSTEM IN ENGINE ROOM

Centralized CO² system  in engine room with 20 kg. bottle fitted in the locker aft of E.R..

Two pneumatic thermostats in engine room, alarm manual remote morse control in the central cockpit. This morse control is also close the E.R. air intake and extraction duct.

One nozzle on the main engine and one nozzle on genset.

Fire fight morse controlled valve on day tank as per C.E. and R.I.NA request.

 

MAIN ENGINE VENTILATION

Engine room ventilation is mounted through two watertight inlet outlets fitted on the cockpit aft side. The ducts  have acoustic insulation and stainless steel fire gates.

GENERALS

Distribution System has been  realized with plastic alimentary pipes .

All hose connections has been secured with two stainless steel hose clamps.

 

 

 

 

FRESH AND SEA WATER SYSTEM

The pressurized system  use Whale hoses and is fittings have the following lay-out:

N.2 Stainless steel tanks for a total capacity of 640 liters with inspection hatches and internal anti-swashing baffles, Tank Tender .

Manifold with selection valves for inlet and tank selection.

Seacocks flush .

 

N°. 1 pressure pump Gianneschi & Ramacciotti Idro Ecojet-2 45 l/min with a 5 liters compensation tank and vacuum indicator for fresh water system.

N°. 1 pressure pump Gianneschi & Ramacciotti Idro Ecojet-2 45 l/min with a 5 liters compensation tank and vacuum indicator for salt water system.

N°. 1 foot-pump Whale MK3 for fresh water inlet in the galley.

Fresh and salt water under pressure with by-pass possibility between the 2 pressure pumps through a manifold.

 

Fresh and hot water in all heads and galley, salt water  in galley, bow locker for anchor chain washing and firefight system, aft cockpit for firefight system.

Fresh and salt water showers in the aft cockpit.

70 liters stainless steel water heater, workings with 220 V. and with the main engine heat exchanger.

 

 H.E.M 20/1200 Water maker  compact version  easy to disembark, electric driven model, 220 V., production capacity 187 liters/hour. Kg.72

 

Water maker outlet: manifold to tanks, outboard or drinking water tab in galley through an active charcoal (replaceable elements) filter.

 

BILGE AND HEADS OUT-LETS          

Bilge are divided in 4 compartments with a separate suction in each compartment: lazzarette, engine room, midship and forepeak.

 

All bilge suction lines is connected to the bilge manifold. Extraction hoses is in grey rigid plastic, the end part of the hoses  flexible and  fitted with pick-up boxes and non-return valves.

Each bilge compartment is  equipped with a  floating switch for alarm on main panel.

The bilge water suction system is controlled through a panel which reproduces the bilge schematics with visual and sound alarm for each compartment.

 

Through the bilge manifold is possible to select which bilge to drain and select the pump or pumps to use for the drainage.

To this manifold are connected respectively one electric bilge pump, one mechanical bilge pump engine driven with clutch and a manual pump:

No. 1 Gianneschi e Ramacciotti 75 l/min pump types (CP32) ACB90 MD 24 Volt.

No.1 Gianneschi e Ramacciotti 217 l/min at 2000RPM type FC40F with clutch.

No. 1 x 100-l/min manual pump Whale Gusher 10 Mk3 fitted in the aft cockpit.

No. 1 manual pump Whale Gusher 10 Mk3 fitted in engine room and sucking only from the E.R. bilge will discharge on a separate pipe line.

The pressurized salt water system is connected with 1/2” valves to the body pump of the CP32 for filling up. Self-priming bilge pumps.

 

GREY SYSTEM     

 All basins  discharge into 60 liters capacity grey water tank fitted under the shower sump.

The siphon is fitted on the outlet.

Showers  discharge into the shower sump and then through a filter and a siphon into the below grey water structural tanks. Crew shower  discharge in guests shower tank.

In the cabins, the A/C fan-coil drains  discharge through a siphon and a non return valve in the grey water tanks.

 

The grey water tanks, under the shower sumps, discharge at sea by 3 membrane Whale Gulper 220 Kg.1, 75 24V-4A pumps provided with filters. Siphon breakers and non-return valve are fitted at each discharge line before connection with the discharge manifold. Tanks vents are connected to the siphon breakers.

Automatic floating switch for starting the pump of each tank and timer for pumps working duration.

In each head switch for selecting manual or automatic mode. (In manual mode the button must be kept pushed and a red led will indicate the pump working).

 

The galley sinks discharge by 1 membrane Whale Gulper 220 through a siphon into a manifold directly connected at sea. A “Y” valve under the galley sink  deviate the discharge to the galley grey water tank situated in the galley bilge, with the same discharge system of the heads grey tanks. This tank collects drains from the sinks, refrigerators and galley fan-coil.

 

TOILET SYSTEM AND BLACK WATER

Guest toilets is in white china TECMA electrical, with direct sea outlet through siphon with siphon breaker or to black water tanks. Crew toilet  manual  by Jabsco regular bowl size.

 

Two black water tanks, total capacity 350 litres, in PVC with internal baffles, bolted inspection hatches, suctions, vents with filters and drain plugs. One tank for Buyer and aft guest heads is in the aft guest cabin bilge; one tank for the three-fwd heads will be in the stbd cabin bilge.

 

Black water system control panel with high level light in each head and in the Navigation station. The system stops automatically the toilet connected to a full tank.

 

Outboard discharge  by 2 Whale Gulper Kg.2, 12 24V-6A macerator pump with a switch manually operated or through a 50 mm manifold with deck fitting 2” Hood Waste for shore connection.

 

GALLEY AND DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT

Alpes Inox stainless steel 4 burner gimballing stove, with adjustable potholders, gas oven and electric grill.

Gas system with copper pipes and master valve in the galley, N°. 2 x 5-kg propane gas bottles. Bottles in  aft cockpit dedicated locker with two valves for bottle selection .

FRIDGE AND FREEZER

Frigomar refrigeration system with the following components:

N. 3 compressor art 511, 24V 3000 rpm coupled to 3(2) hermetic motor compressor 220 V.

N. 2 panel with lamps for  ’levels, filters, two solenoids each.

N. 2 electric panel for 220/24-V automatic switch.

N. 2 cooling pumps one 24V and one 220V.

 

N. 3 stainless steel custom built chilled boxes,  standing fridge 180 liters  with front opening and of 200 liters freezer with drawers, freezer box under galley bilge. Wine cooler in coffee table base.

 

Chilled boxes  insulated with 80 mm. P.U. foam, PVC coated inside and outside.

 

All chilled boxes are fitted with resistors and seals on the doors as well as internal lights, hinges and closing handles.

 

Freezer and fridge boxes chilled with accumulation eutectic plates fitted with single cooling coil. Three digital thermostat-thermometers  mounted on a panel in the galley.

 

Draining of the freezers and refrigerators has been realized by pipes and valves connected to the grey water tank in the galley.

 

AIR CONDITIONING

Central water-circulation air conditioning system with compressors installed in the engine room. Reversible Summer-Winter cycle.

FRIGOMAR  central air conditioning unit  39,000 BTU

 

Fan coils installed with intake gratings, delivery pipes and gratings and condensation draining systems in grey tank.

All fancoils are equipped with the following accessories:

- Three-speed and off switch, Ticino Living series

- Electronic ambient thermostats.

- Vinylair reinforced plastic pipes insulated by 9mm thick rubber.

- Delivery and return cocks with plastic plates.

- Delivery and intake gratings  made of wood.

  Treated water circulation pump and accumulator tank. Cooling sea water circulation pump connected to  the system under pressure for filling the pump casing.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

 

 

GENERAL

All equipment, wiring, and switch gear are for marine use.

Wiring  are adequately protected from chafe.

All wiring are distributed in cable trays or flexible pipes and  bipolar for the 24V DC system and

tri polar for the 220V AC system.

Watertight derivation boxes

 Watertight and fireproof through bulkhead fittings for wire on watertight bulkhead and E. R. bulkhead.

 

24V DC ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

24V DC electrical system :

• 1 alternator 230A x 24V for charging the service battery banks, installed on the main engine.
• 1 standard engine alternator for charging the engine starting battery.
• 1 standard genset charger for charging the genset starting battery.
• 2 Mastervolt battery chargers 75A x 24V fed by 220V with forced ventilation independent.
• -DC/DC Converters 24/12V various Amp. installed on each lines of 12V equipment.
• N°2 x 24V service battery banks. Each bank with 12 units of 560AH x 2V gel traction type. Total service bank capacity 1120AH x 24V.
• 1 radio battery 120AH x 24V.
• 1 engine starting battery 120AH x 24V.
• 1 generator starting battery 60AH x 24V.
• Headlining halogen lights with protection lenses.
• Spots for heads, mirrors and reading lights on bunks.
• Stainless steel watertight headlining light for shower boxes.
• Standard lamp on nav-station, red courtesy lights, fridge lights, cabins furniture internal lighting, engine room, lazarette.
• N°4 Dimmers for low lights in saloon, guest port and Buyer cabin.
• External lights: Aquasignal navigation lights, 2 boom lights, 2 spreader lights, 1 foredeck light, 4 cockpit lights, Jabsco searching light on first spreader. Boom light switches in aft cockpit panel and on the ceiling near both companionways.

  220V AC  ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

  220V AC electrical system :

• 1 shore power plug 50A x 220V, watertight, with 25m of fireproof cable for shore connection. The system  have the possibility to be connected to a 110V shore supply.
• 1 genset 16KVA x 220 V x 50 Hz FISHER PANDA @rpm, with sound shield, 24V starting system, control panel with starting switch, Volt-meter, Ampere-meter, hour-meter. Exhaust with a water trap in E.R. and a water separator in the lazzarette. Discharge outboard within engine exhaust.
• -1 inverter 24Vdc/220Vca x 2500W sine wave Mastervolt.
• Internal 220 V outlets: 1 in each head and cabin, 1 in engine room, 2 in saloon and 2 in galley,
•  1  in lazarette, 1 in the cockpit box, 1in the workshop.

   

  ELECTRIC SWITCHBOARDS

  Battery master control panel are fitted with one master switch for each of the following battery banks: main engine starting, genset starting, service banks. There is also the switches to connect the service banks with the starting banks in case of emergency.

  24V DC general switchboard hinged for easy inspection fitted with:

• DC Voltmeter and charge and consumption Ampere-meters.
• Circuit breakers for 40 circuits, divided in different groups such as: internal and external lights, pumps and services, electronics, others.
• Bilge control panel.
• Deck/navigation lights control panel.
• -Fresh water level indicator tank tender with selection switch of starboard/port tanks.

   

  220V AC general switchboard hinged for easy inspection fitted with:

• AC source selector switch.
• AC Volt-meter and Ampere-meter.
• Safety master switch.
• Circuit breakers for 15 circuits 220V AC.

Additional control panels is fitted in a proper recess into the cockpit side: instrument lights switch, fuel level gauge, additional windlass switch, alarm light for service batteries alternator break down, alarm light for water in fuel system, alarm light for blower in engine room.

 

GROUND SYSTEM

All machinery with a sea water cooling, sea cocks and any stainless steel tanks has been electrically connected to the keel bolts by copper cables or copper bands properly sized.

 

Two sacrificial zinc anodes  bolted and recessed on the upper section of the stainless steel keel fin.

All sea water filters  have sacrificial zinc anode.

The SSB ground system uses ground plates and is connected to the keel bolts.

BOOM AND SPINNAKER POLE

Carbon “Park Avenue” boom  with internal Spectra reefing lines, hydraulic outhaul, Spectra luff reef and light for central cockpit lighting.

The Carbon boom have 2 x upper grooves for the lazy jack bag and 2 x lower grooves for port & starboard sun owning luff.

HYDRAULICS

5 functions Navtec hydraulic panel, fitted in the aft cockpit, with hydraulic tensioner regulation valves for Backstays, Vang, outhaul, removable inner forestay, ram for genoa halyard and Cunningham.

The split backstay in the hull port and stbd by passing around a sheave and lead onto a Hydraulic Ram on each side.

COCKPIT TABLE

The table is finished in teak with two foldable leafs on a double leg adjustable height Besenzoni support and with an ice-box in the middle.

 

 

 

TRANSOM DOOR

Hinged transom door to be used as boarding/swimming platform,  hydraulically operated by a independent power pack , step to deck level, teak planks on inside of door, removable swimming ladder to be fitted to the platform, internal stowage for windsurf board, outboard tender tank, etc.

Salt water outlet in chain bow locker and in the aft cockpit.
