Overview

The Symbol 50 Pilothouse Motor Yacht combines the style, appeal and great looks of a motor yacht with the seaworthiness and capability of a passage maker. The interior is thoughtfully designed with a bright and open salon and galley. The Master and VIP suites are full beam, spacious and have large storage compartments.

CHANGE was commissioned in 2002 by her original owners for extended voyaging throughout the East Coast of the USA and the Bahamas. The yacht is equipped with everything needed to make your journeys comfortable, safe and enjoyable. The equipment list is lengthy and includes active stabilizers, Novurina RIB Dinghy with 25HP Yamaha 4Stroke and davit system.

The current (2nd) owners of CHANGE have kept all maintenance current and have made numerous upgrades. They have been loving owners and have made numerous journeys and now seek new owners to begin their own adventures cruising to those special places.

Accommodations

Starting from the aft deck, CHANGE is entered through dual sliding stainless steel framed glass doors into the bright and airy Salon. To port is a large, comfortable settee with storage below and a Custom Teak Hi/Lo Table with folding table wings. To starboard is a beautifully finished Entertainment Center. Large, tinted safety glass windows allow natural lighting to bathe the large salon as well as offering unobstructed views outward at your surroundings. Custom carpeting is underfoot and on top of acoustical padding for sound insulation. Moving forward to port the U-shaped Galley is situated within the salon where conversation can flow between owners and guests. On the aft side of the galley countertop are two teak stools covered in a coordinated décor fabric. Storage is abundant in the Symbol 50 Pilothouse. The galley has numerous drawers and cabinets for storing provisions and all the features needed to prepare meals. There are separate Sub Zero Refrigerator & Freezer with Ice Maker, Dishwasher, Trash Compactor, Four Burner Electric Stove, Microwave/Convection Oven and a Dual Basin Stainless Steel Sink. Moving forward up four steps you enter the Pilothouse with a sliding door to starboard. To port is a large Settee with a Custom Teak Hi/Lo Table that can convert into a berth. The sole is finished in a beautiful high gloss Teak & Holly. The Pilothouse Helm is thoughtfully laid out and comfortable. All Electronics & Navigation Equipment are within easy reach from the Centerline Helm Chair. Moving forward from the Pilothouse the Staterooms are reached below by a starboard side curved stairway. Towards the bottom of the stairway is the Laundry Locker that contains a GE Washer and a GE Dryer. Moving forward is the VIP Stateroom with a Queen sized island berth along the centerline w/ a Custom Innerspring Mattress. There is ample storage with hanging lockers, drawers and cabinets. There is private access to the Guest Bath with a Vanity w/ Sink & Storage, Standup Shower Stall and Vacu-Flush Toilet. Moving aft and in the center of the boat is the Full Beam Master Stateroom with a Centerline Queen Sized Bed w/ Custom Memory Foam Mattress. Again there is lots of storage space with  Cedar Lined Hanging Lockers, Drawers and Cabinets. The Master Bath is to starboard and has a Large Shower Stall w/ Seating, Vanity w/ Sink & Storage and a Vacu-Flush Toilet.

Hull, Superstructure, & Deck

Cruising and livability were priorities in the design of the Symbol 50 Pilothouse. The Deck Layout makes movement throughout the vessel comfortable and safe. CHANGE has wide side decks with high stanchions and lifelines for easy and safe passage between the aft deck, foredeck and pilothouse. Ground tackle and mooring gear is substantial and includes an additional anchor roller at the bow pulpit w/ spare Fortress Anchor, Remote Windlass and a wash down for the chain rode. CHANGE is equipped with Wesmar 6 square foot Stabilizer Fins to actively reduce rolling motion in all conditions. There is an integrated aft swim platform w/ recessed ladder. The aft deck has a large Lazzarette with plenty of storage space for gear. This is also where the rudders and emergency steering system can be easily accessed. A watertight and lockable Door/Hatch provides Engine Room access forward of the Lazzerette. There is also Engine Room Access from the Galley.

Navigaton Equipment

Change was built to cruise. The owners have equipped the yacht with complete Navigation Electronics to make your voyages a breeze. The Navigation Electronics have Large Flat Panel Displays in the Pilothouse and the Flybridge. All equipment has been ergonomically mounted and is easily accessed from either helm position. Four (4) Multi-Function Displays (MFD) are fully integrated and provide full redundancy but also can be used independently. If one unit were to fail the captain can immediately designate another unit as the master and continue the voyage without interruption. Radar can be overlaid on top of the chart map if desired. Current owners typically run the yacht with one (MFD) at each helm station with Radar overlaid on top of the Chart Map and the other MFD designated to display all other instruments.

Fly Bridge

The Flybridge on CHANGE is expansive and can be accessed from either the Pilothouse Staircase or the Aft Deck Ladder. The comfortable Helm puts the skipper within hands reach of all electronics and navigation equipment. The Helm has twin Pompanette Chairs for the Skipper and First Mate. There is great visibility and plenty of seating for the guests on two L-Shaped Lounges. The Flybridge has a grilling station with Electric Grill, Refrigerator and Icemaker. The Dinghy is cradled aft on the boat deck and is easily launched via a Low Profile Davit.
