Overview

Very special Wesmac sedan powered by a single 3406E Cat, 800 hp about 1260 hours. Large saloon with helm & companion seats. Generator, A/C, bow thruster, Aqua Mist topsides Awlgrip was done in June 2013

Large bow stateroom with island queen. Nice head with separate shower stall. Very accommodating galley. Rich teak interior. 

This yacht was completed by Billings Diesel & Marine Service in Stonington, Maine and in my opinion is one the finest you will locate.

Accommodations

KEYDET is very spacious everywhere, from her large cockpit to the large forward stateroom. This is a 42' yacht with a wide 14.5' beam. The waterline is long; the interior space is built over the waterline and KEYDET has lot's of useable space throughout.

The stateroom is forward with comfortable centerline queen berth, 19" Insigina flat screen television, generous drawer and cedar lined locker storage, opening hatch overhead and four opening portlights for good ventilation.

The spacious head is aft of the stateroom to starboard beautifully finished in white tile. The head has a large shower stall with seat and opening hatch overhead. The head also has vanity, sink, fresh water flush electric Headhunter toilet. 

The large U-shaped galley is down to port directly across the companionway. This galley is well equipped with Princess three burner electric stove with oven, exhaust hood over the stove, G.E. microwave oven, Norcold refrigerator with freezer, double S/S sink, Corian countertops, and overhead hatch, opening portlight, The galley has good storage space.

Up five steps from the lower cabin, KEYDET has a great saloon with L lounge, upholstered chairs, helm with beautiful leather helm and matching navigator seats forward. The helm is to starboard; the chart table to port. The Ultrasuede L-shaped settee converts to a queen berth. There is a teak hi-lo table that can also be used in the cockpit. There is a built in teak side cabinet, with generous storage space, to starboard with lamps, two new (2014) barrel chairs. The sole is teak and holly. The large teak aft doors open into the aft cockpit which can be covered by a custom Sunbrella sunshade making the outdoors join the inside into one very large area for those beautiful days on the water. KEYDET is wonderful.

Deck & Hull

KEYDET has a teak bow pulpit with double anchor rollers and a Maxwell 1200 windlass with vertical capstan and gypsy. The windlass was re-worked 2014. There is a Danforth 35H anchor with 300' of chain, and a Delta 35 lb anchor with 20' of chain and 200' of line in the lazarette. There is a rope snuber system for the anchor. There is raw water wash down on the foredeck. KEYDET has a S/S bow rail that provides safety all the way back to the end of the cockpit.
