The interior of SHYRAGA is a blend of tradition and Art Deco, offering excellent original quality of rich varnished mahogany, balanced by large windows in the saloon and Dining Area. Ample storage in custom cabinets for crystal, china and bottles complement the lounging and dining area for 8.
The cabins are tastefully furnished in a traditional nautical style, with ample drawer and hanging lockers, again with large portholes providing plenty of natural light. The shower rooms are functional and of excellent quality, as is the athwart ships galley.
The Portuguese bridge leads on to the foredeck, with twin side doors, and has all the equipment one would expect of a true ocean going vessel. Although constantly updated, great care has been taken to maintain all the original charm of period instruments.
There are three crew cabins, along with a true crew mess, all contributing to a happy ship for owner and crew alike.

10. COMMENTS |
|
From the drawing board of the famous Laurent Giles & Partners design house, and built by the celebrated German shipyard of Abeking & Rasmussen, it would be hard to find a better pedigree. Her canoe-stern full displacement steel hull, built as a yacht but inspired by the North Atlantic Coast Guard Cutters, inspires confidence and a feeling of safety at all times. Designed with owner’s comfort paramount, the layout down below as on deck is of the utmost efficiency. The large protected aft deck is an ideal place for lounging on the generous seating, or dining at the large table on wicker chairs. A further outdoor space is found on the boat deck above, which when cleared of the tenders is a large area where one can watch the crew at the steering station forward, or relax at the private twin seated area aft.
All in all SHYRAGA is a fine example of European yacht building at its best, enhanced by many years of meticulous maintenance by loving owners.
