Beautiful One Owner Low Hours Like New!!
The 5288 is a very popular model all-weather pilothouse cruiser that combines luxury features with a very practical floor plan including overnight accommodations in three private cabins with two ensuite heads.
Upon entering the spacious salon with the large galley to port and seating for eight on the luxurious sofa to starboard, one's eye goes beyond the large entertainment center and is caught by the open and raised pilothouse that commands a 180 degree breathtaking view. Up three steps towards the helm there is seating for eight which is the favored spot for family and guests with easy access to the side-decks.
There is open staircase from the pilothouse that provides easy access up to the flybridge where comfortable upholstered seating for eight is directly behind the helm on the bridgedeck. Aft on the open and expansive boat deck there is plenty of room to entertain a small crowd along with an electric crane to raise and stow the dinghy.
On the main deck forward, attention to safety has been provided with high bulwarks and heavy s/s railings and a spacious foredeck with a sunning pad. Aft from the swim platform, is easy access to the large and deep cockpit and up one step to the wide side-decks.
To starboard there is access to the huge and well organized engine room under a set of steps. Reportedly, her twin 600hp low hour MAN diesels offer a very economical 18 knot cruise speed with only 12gph fuel consumption.
Both upper and lower helms are expansive with a full compliment of navigation and communications electronics on the bridge and in the pilothouse.
This lightly used 1999 yacht was not commissioned until 2002 and has lived in the mild environment of Long Islands South Shore & Fire Island since new until moving to Florida while offering virtually every convenience of a fine home on the water in any climate.
Some of these features include underwater exhausts, bow thruster, and redundant electronics. Additional touches include generous use of courtesy lights on deck, in the cockpit, and overhead halogen accent lighting throughout.
The ensuite master's head features a large stall tub/shower, and the yacht is also fully air-conditioned and separately heated with a Webasto diesel furnace for year around cruising.
Truly a beautiful and lavishly furnished yacht that not only offers tremendous value but also meets every need of the discriminating yachtsman.
