Wide and curved teak steps provide an easy and safe descent with handholds where you need them. The main salon features a gorgeous dining table and room for six. A sliding bench seat on one side of the table increases versatility and access. Once below, you begin to appreciate the interior of this Cabo Rico 45. It is truly beautiful due to the rich and warm finish on the teak veneer paneling, teak trim, doors and cabinets. The teak and holly sole feels solid underneath. There is an attractive vinyl headliner that naturally brightens the interior. There are handy storage compartments, cabinets and drawers wherever you look and need them. The forward master stateroom features a full queen custom made matress and a private head with shower and sink. There is ample storage in a closet, and cabinets and drawers as well as under the berth. The aft stateroom features a double berth and private sink. Access to the head and shower is provided by a door off the main salon or the stateroom. |
Hull and Deck
The deck of the Cabo Rico 45 is easy to move around on due to the wide side decks. Adequate handholds and lifelines help keep you safe. Natural ventilation for living spaces below is supplied by 4 large rotating dorade vents. These vents are protected by stainless steel guards that also double as hand holds. Hatches are equipped with solar powered exhaust fans. All fastenings are reinforced fiberglass and stainless steel.

Electrical and Electronics

The electrical system includes shore power supply (30 and 50 Amp) for both the house electrical needs and for the air conditioning. For energy needs away from port, power is supplied by a Fisher Panda Diesel Generator (Panda 6). Battery system includes five AGM batteries, with one dedicated to the engine and generator and 4 to the house. Three battery selection switches allow for house, engine and emergency needs

Engine and Mechanical
The Yanmar diesel is a 4 cylinder turbo engine, Model No. 4JH2-HTE producing 75 horsepower at 3600 RPM. It is a fresh water cooled system. Engine rests on fiberglass pads. Equipped with dual RACOR primary and Yanmar secondary filters. Controls are Morse Cable. Hurth reduction gear.(HBW250) The shaft logs are bronze with flex and dripless type packing glands. The propeller is 21" in diameter, three bladed feathering. Sterntube struts and cutlass bearings. It is protected by the keel. Propeller shaft is 1 1/4" stainless steel. The ruddder is keel supported fiberglass. There is an engine and transmission oil change system.
